I have found goo gone to work on oily milk stains... but it depends on the fabric, that may be too harsh for some.

@jojogirl: Check them to make sure the stain is gone before putting them in the dryer (if they are dryer safe to begin with)

@JoJoGirl: You don't want to dry clean them. Since breastmilk is organic, wet cleaning is much more likely to remove any stains. I've worked at a cleaners.

@mediagirl: The top is I think cotton, bottom is wool blend? Red top and grey pants. AY.

I went home and came back, was pretty quick - treated with a stain remover and will throw them in the wash when I get home. I guess dry cleaning is a last resort. Once I somehow moved the gas nozzle when I was filling up my car and soaked my pants with GASOLINE on the way to an out of town meeting. OMG. That was even worse. I had to go right home and stay away from open flames...

ETA: Being home without LO!?!? Man it was temping to stay there for a while...

@JoJoGirl: I would just blot dry (if you can stand it) and get the stain out later. Milk comes out. What color/fabric is it?

Ps really sorry that happen :(

Ack, I'm so sorry! Honestly I didn't even know the pump would function without bottles attached!

Do you have a blazer or something you can throw on to cover your top half? I usually have like a half dozen in my office and this is my solution for wardrobe emergencies. No help for pants though unfortunately.

@JoJoGirl: Try to treat with water. Also, there is a cleaner out there designed for breastmilk/formula. I think it's a dish soap, but I'd be tempted to hand wash the outfit with a bit of that before washing in the washing machine. I have milk stains on a few pairs of pants because of pump parts leaking when unattaching.

Ugh. What type of material is it? Is it dry clean only? I would blot with water and then blot with a dry towel.

Tip: After the first time I did this (I also dropped bottles in the past and spilled them on myself) I kept a dish towel in my pump bag. Trying to dry yourself off with paper towels is messy and leaves a residue.

I'm so sorry this happened. :(

I'm sitting at work first thing in the morning, trying to quickly pump before my 8 am appointment arrives. I cover the flanges with a blanket while I pump so as not to obsess about output.

Well I felt something kind of weird and look down and I WAS PUMPING WITH NO BOTTLE ATTACHED!! My ENTIRE work outfit is totally soaked through with milk. I quickly attached a bottle and now someone is about to walk into my office and I'm just DRENCHED.

GAAAH!!!

I can probably go home and change but OMG. TOO TIRED TO FUNCTION.

How do you get milk stains out of professional clothes?!
