Yup, one of each! Although the unique name is several hundred years old anyway.

I think my LOs name is both. It's a derivative of a very classic/biblical name. It's not in the top couple hundred for popularity but it's a derivative that everyone has heard of and is much more common where my husband of from than here. My daughter's middle name though I think is one of the most common middle name (not sure, just a guess) - Marie - but I still like it.

I like classic names that are unique. AKA - names that you can easily pronounce and have heard before, but you don't know other people with the same name. I consider them unique if I haven't had a student with the same name (with over 400 different students each year, that's a pretty tough condition).

I like both. DS has a classic first name and a more modern middle name. DH has a pretty classic name as well. I'm the one with the unique name, but it's nothing too crazy. I'm not fond of crazy names/spellings at all.

@sandy: ooh you have me interested!

I am definitely a mix between both. I like names that were classics but that haven't been used in a really long time, so it makes them unique. I also really like nature names, I guess those are pretty unique. I am a name fanatic!

both... but leaning more toward unique- but not quirky. I named my son Jacobi. If we'd had a girl, our top names were Adelaide (classic), Gemma (unique/modern) or Evangeline (classic and unique).

I like both but for my own children I tend to favor classic names. There is one name that I love but it's kind of uncommon (a take on a classic name) but my husband isn't excited about it so maybe it can be #2's middle name if it's a girl

I like both...My favorite name of all time is Lauren, very classic and beautiful. But I stupidly suggested it when my sister was born and my parents named her that, so it's out for me. But my daughter will be named something less classic, more trendy I guess:)
