I hate the IKEA Poang we have...It makes a ton of noise when you get in and out of it. We used it because we had it, but I wouldn't have bought it new.

Ditto @Mrs. Jacks: We have the Poang. It's not as comfy as a big glider, but in combination with a nursing pillow, it's fine in a pinch for night feedings, which is pretty much all I use it for.

Coco Bee, I am sorry that I don't have any suggestions, but just wanted to say that I had the second Ikea chair that you're considering and it's very uncomfortable! I got it because I liked its compact, modern design and great price, but in the end, it was just too uncomfortable to keep around. Good luck!

We have that exact rocking chair and tbh, it's not the most comfy to nurse in. I have nursed DS a handful of times in it using the boppy. The seat is hard and cold :(. Right now I either nurse him while sitting up in bed or on the couch. When we are down to one night feed I will probably bring up a cushioned chair with arms (that are cushioned as well) that we have in our living room.

@Coco Bee: oh!! well then any of those ikea comfy chairs should be fine. The only thing I'd say is make sure the arms are low enough (most comfy chairs have higher arms that get in the way). I also know people who put a small pull-out sofas or loveseats and used those for feeding.

@mrs. wagon: well we have a rocking chair that was over $400, so I don't necessarily need a rocker. just a place to feed him.

you might want to consider one that rocks/glides. My friend had a chair from Ikea that was comfy but she never used it because it didn't rock and it was frustrating.

I totally regretted ordering our pricey custom upholstered glider after seeing similar ones for much cheaper on jcpenney.com and sears.com! So you can check those out!

looking at those two... I just need something that will get me through night feedings!

good idea to look on craigslist

No specific chair suggestions since baby isn't here yet, but we craigslisted for our glider. We were able to get a like-new Dutailier chair and foot stool for $70.

When we bought my rocking chair, we decided to keep it downstairs in the living room, knowing I spend most of my time here. It also added a comfortable place for me and baby to sit since we had poor furniture. Well, now we have a dilemma. We hope to have Cobi in his room sometime this summer, but he still eats at night and I don't want to go all the way downstairs to my chair to feed him.

Anyone know of any cheap chairs that are small enough for his room but comfortable enough for night-feedings?
Mind sharing your chairs?

I was eyeing this one, since I like the sleek and modern design, but I can't imagine it's easy to feed in: http://www.amazon.com/Molded-Plastic-Rocking-Chair-White/dp/B003X43CFK/ref=br_it_dp_o_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=2XUJ5BJ3AQXI2&coliid=I3EAOAPJSDRUQM#
