P was in 18-24m on most things since last winter. I started her in 2T in September, but am already noticing that things are getting short. So, I see a move to 3T in her future (at least for shirts and leggings). Girl needs to slow down on the growing!

Yes, LO is about 2.75 yrs and she stayed in 12-18 for awhile. She's going to be a 2T for awhile though. When you move out of diapers the pants will fit even longer as well since there is not so much padding.

@Mrs. Jacks: I have a friend whose boys are 2 years apart, and for a while the oldest was wearing the youngest's hand-me-downs! Ellie usually takes a year or so, but seems to size out of shirts the fastest. Lorelei is in 2T already. Bummer because with her being smaller than Ellie was at that age I bought mostly `18-24 month bottoms, and we'll need to get more.

B is 16.5 months old, 14 months adjusted and I feel like he's going through a growth spurt. He just moved to 12 - 18 months and the pants are already a tad bit short. Tops seem to be fine though. I thought he would be in 12 - 18 monhs for a long time based on how long he was in 6 - 12 months, but I think I am wrong. :(

C has definitely slowed down in growth. She hasn't gained any weight in 3 months, although she has gotten taller. She's been in 24m for about 3 months now and we've bought her some 2T fall/winter stuff that will be baggy this year but hopefully fit next year too.

S has definitely slowed down compared to her first year of growth. She's 18 months old and has been in 2T for a while now.

DS, who has pretty much always been in the 20th percentile for height and weight, was in 12-18 months until he was 2 and 24-2T for a year and a half. He has always been year behind in sizes - they just don't fit his waist really. He is 4.5 and wearing mostly all 4T clothing now though.

I buy big, depending on brand, at least one size up. When he was about 18 months, I bought a bunch of 4T long sleeve t shirts which he just finally grew out of this summer at 2.5, so they lasted more than a year. I'm now buying 6T and just rolling up the sleeves. DS is on the higher end of the height and weight charts though, but I feel like his growth is definitely slower now.

M. just hit a growth spurt and pretty much skipped 18-24 month clothes. We're doing 2T now, which is hard because her sister hasn't outgrown all the 2T's yet!

My DS is 2 and still in 12-18 month and 18-24 month pants, but 2T tops. He is longer torsoed, so I expect him to stay behind a year in bottoms and keep up with his age in tops, unless something changes. My DD is 5 both taller and heavier on the growth charts and she follows the standard sizing pretty much, if not moving onto the next size a few months early.

my LO is 18 m and fits into both 18m clothing and 12m. Some 12m pants are too short and the 12m sleepers are tight but onesies and dresses still fit fine in both sizes

My daughter is also 20 months. She's petite and still mostly in 12-18 clothing, although it does depend on the brand. Most of her clothes are baby Gap, and she still fits into 12-18 athough some 18-24 is starting to fit (most of it still slides right off). In Old Navy, she actually wears a 18-24. In Gymboree and Janie & Jack, she's a 12-18... and in Carter's she's an 18.

My son was in 18-24 months when he was about 20 months old, when he turned 2 he was wearing at least 3T in tops but could still wear a lot of his 18-24 month bottoms. By the end of the winter he was solidly in 2T pants.

For the summer, I bought him mostly 3T tops and he was able to use 2T bottoms. Now, we're at 4T in tops and 3T in bottoms.

He's about 75% for height and 66% for weight.

How long did they stay in clothing sizes?

I thought J, who is 20 months, would be in 18-24m by now but he's been in 12-18 since July and definitely is not growing into 18-24 anytime soon. He probably won't be in it until next summer, and the fall/winter I bought him for this year in the bigger sizes will probably fit next fall! ha.

His growing has slowed significantly.

Once your child was 18+ (or maybe 2year+) how long did they stay in specific sizes?

I guess I always assumed that once they hit 2T they'd stay in it for a year then move up - but mine just might take longer than that.
