depends on the temp of your house - our bedrooms upstairs were always on the warm side so she slept swaddled with a just a diaper or a onesie

DS wore footed cotton sleepers with a fleece sleepsack at night, and rompers or a onesie and shorts when we go out. During the day he mostly wore a diaper wrapped in a warm fuzzy blanket at home.

They still wore the footed sleepers at night with a sleep sack. We keep the AC set at 69. But during the day, they wore onesies, creepers, or onesies. It's so hot and the car seat keeps them even warmer. I just carried a light blanket to throw over them if we went somewhere cold.

LO is 5.5 weeks now. He seems to hate being swaddled, so he's been sleeping in the footed sleepers to stay warm since the AC is on. During the day he wears onesies or rompers since we might be going out. Sometimes I put sock on if his feet get cold in get house.

My LO was born mid-may. The first few weeks we rarely even put clothes on her. Just a diaper and wrapped in a&a blankets all the time. Over the summer she lived in onesies. I don't think she ever wore bottoms until like... October lol.

July baby - onesies in the daytime, and footed pj's at night, but we had to do the thin ones because he would sweat when swaddled if not.

I like to have a few thin, 100% cotton sleepers on hand. The cotton wicks away sweat so they are breathable, but keeps the chill off from drafts and fans

DD was born May 24, and has been living in them. We keep our apt at abut 75 degrees, and she's showing no signs of overheating. I was born in June, lived in humid climate, and also lived in them

My little ones were born in May 2014, but were still tiny (under 7 lbs) in July. We swaddled at night, so mid-summer when it was really hot they were mostly in onesies and swaddles. We also had a fan going in their room.

C was born at the end of July. She still wore a lot of long sleeve footed sleepers-- I was a hot sweaty mess so we definitely had the AC on. If it was warmer she would sleep in a side snap shirt (I hated pulling things over her head at first) and a swaddle. We used both for sure.

My skinny little one slept in thin cotton footed sleepers even in the middle of summer - I'd keep a few on hand certainly.

DD1 was born in December and she LIVED in one piece footed sleepers the first few months. DD2 will be here in July and I'm wondering if it will be too warm to wear them. Should I buy more short sleeve rompers/creepers instead? For those with summer newborns, what did you dress them in?
