LO started developing bad sleeping patterns after he turned 2, and I decided to eliminate his nap a few weeks ago at 28 months. He would fight it but end up napping for 2 hours once he could calm down and pass out. Unfortunately that led to him fighting bedtime until 11pm, making us super tired and exhausted. Overall he wasn't getting enough sleep, and it was best to drop the nap. Now he gets a full 12 hours and passes out right away.

Dd started fighting her only nap at around 18 months. At 28 months I stopped trying to get her to sleep.
She goes to bed at 6:15 and is out by 6:30am.
She usually wakes between 6:15-7am.

I like early bedtimes, but it sucks because we can't stay out past 5:30.

It could be that she's really excited with all the family there. I am pretty sure she's not ready to drop the last nap yet!!

She started skipping or taking short naps (30 mins or less) at 18.5 months. It kinda sucks for me but she is fine with less sleep. :-)

When did your LO drop their last nap?

My family has been here since Saturday and LO has taken like a 30 minute nap and has been OK for the most part.

Oy. But definitely ready for bedtime by 7 instead of 8.

Which has me wondering if she will drop her last nap earlier than most. When do most kids drop that last nap?
