My LO (14.5 months) has been acting the same. She was the BEST eater and then she hit 12 months and that all went out the window. She eats fruits reliably, and that's about it. I also think she's too young to let her go hungry, so I just do my best to have a lot of back up options in place. She will eat pasta and some vegetables most of the time, but one day she'll eat it, and the next day she may not. I hope this phases doesn't last too long!

We've been noticing the same thing. He's all about bread, noodles, and rice so I've been trying to mix in different veggies meat for him. We've noticed that some days he will eat something then the next day show no interest.

The boys have refused some things lately that they had been eating great. I've been wandering if it was toddler pickiness starting to show its face.

A is the same way. She's 14 mo and pretty much disdains most fruit/veggies, but will eat them in a pouch. It's driving me nuts. If you like it all smushed up, it still tastes the same not smushed! I really want to stop buying dang pouches, but it's the only way I can guarantee fruits and veggies right now.

R isn't interested in food that much lately either. She seems fine with not eating dinner so I have been giving her a pouch after bath just to make sure she gets something in her tummy. But spacing it so she doesn't think if I don't eat dinner I get a pouch.
Last night she wouldn't eat more then a couple bites and it was all some of her favorites.

I agree you don't want him to go hungry but you do control what you put in front of him. For my daughter at that age it often was something I know she would eat (cheese stick or something) and then something newer. We made eating a game and she would lick the food, see if the dog liked the food, stuff like that. So it was pressure to actually eat the food, but even to just be comfortable around it.

We're having the same issue with our 14m DS. He used to eat anything (and will still eat any puree), but he is just not into solids, which we've been trying to give him since he was 6m old. He will only eat fruit, crackers, breakfast foods (pancakes, eggs, waffles), and that's basically it. He won't eat meats or veggies at all. We've been trying to give the same things over and over so he adjusts to them, but he won't even put them near his face. I'm so frustrated.

My LO started the same thing around 12 months. I think that as long as most of the foods that they eat are healthy, that its ok for them to not have much variety. But I do try and mix it up a lot, and her choices change all the time. What helped us was she always wants to eat what we eat, I know this is not working for you. But also dips/ sauces have helped us a ton! She doesnt really care what the sauce is as long as the food has it on there. It is the only way to get her to eat any meat, and she gobbles it up! But I have also resorted to putting it on veggies  just a itty bit, and she loves it.

Good luck, I know its frustrating.

Our one-year-old used to eat anything and everything. In the last few weeks he is starting to get a little picky. I find that we now have a somewhat limited repertoire of food that he will eat. For example he often doesn't want what we are eating for dinner anymore. I think he's too young still to say "well eat it or go hungry" so I've been making separate food for him in an effort to get him to eat. Mostly he wants to eat fruit, cheese, yogurt, tomatoes, pasta, hot dogs, and he will eat peas carrots corn and sweet potatoes in smaller amounts. Lately he is hit or miss with chicken, bread and peanut butter. What have y'all done? Should I let him keep eating what he wants? Is it okay that his diet isn't very diverse?

Eta- I should add also that while he used to try anything I put in front of him, he's becoming more resistant to trying new foods now too. :( I hope this is just a phase!
