We are dealing with this right now with our 14mo. She will eat pouches well, but she used to be great about eating small pieces of our food & currently on our trip she spits most things out or sweeps it off her tray.

Can you give him pouches to eat? Those are easy to eat while looking at stuff.

Just plan on him making up for it with a big bedtime snack or breakfast. We like cheese sticks and pouches for easy, quick options baby can self feed while looking around. Barring a few medical conditions, children will eat when they're hungry enough.

If he's hungry enough he'll eat. I wouldn't worry about it.

My one-year-old will not eat more than a few bites of food when we are in public. He is way too distracted from being in a new place and seeing new people. If I turn him so his back is to the distractions, he will crane his neck to look at what's going on. And if I try to spoon feed him, he will smack the spoon away or shake his head. We went on a day trip to the zoo and were gone for 5 hours, and he didn't eat the whole time! I'm worried about our upcoming week-long vacation to Disney World. I was hoping to feed him in the parks and at different restaurants while the rest of us are eating, but I don't know if he will eat. Anyone go through something similar and have advice?
