&#60;p&#62;You may be able to get the bank to reimburse any fees they have charged you, especially if this is the first time you have had something like this happen. I would either go in to the bank in person or give them a call.&#60;/p&#62;

We paid a bill for the correct amount, but the water company entered it incorrectly as only 10% of what the check was for and shut off our water because &#34;we hadn't paid in full&#34;. It was a major PITA to convince the water company that they had made the mistake and it took several days to get our water back on.

&#60;p&#62;My husband paid our car payment then texted me from his work one day and said &#34;I can't remember if I paid our auto loan. Can you check and pay if necessary?&#34;&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;So I checked and it didn't show in our scheduled or recently paid bills, so I paid. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;It turns out he had paid from HIS checking account (we have two checking accts with the same back, one of us is primary on each) and even though our accts are linked (we can see each other's checking accounts when we log in) HIS scheduled bills do not appear on my end -- but HE can see MY scheduled bills.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Sooo, we paid our car payment twice in one month. Nothing we could do about it, two separate and legitimate payments. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Now we know to log in under both accts to check payments before we do anything else!

<description>&#60;p&#62;I use my bank's online bill pay service to pay most of our household utilities because it is so convenient . . . well until today. I apparently wasn't paying close enough attention when I entered our $16 water bill a couple of weeks ago because a check to the county water office just cleared for $1,600 putting our account in a negative balance and incurring late fees from the bank!!! My DH just called in a panic. Luckily as soon as I called customer service the lady immediately recognized the issue and told me that it would take 2-3 weeks for my refund to be processed. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Thankful we have some money in savings to cover but now i feel like a complete idiot. I can't be the only one that has done something like this before, right?
