My Registry was popular a few years ago. You can add items from different stores into one master registry.

@VEGMAMA: sure! And we added lots of stuff from Amazon to ours, so you can still get the benefit of Amazon prices and shipping. Also, you can add multiple links per item, so if it's on, say, Amazon and BRU, you can add both links and it will show both prices (so the giver can choose which store they want to go with). Sometimes it even automatically adds multiple stores for you! I think this depends on how the title is worded, maybe.

I'm a fan of amazon for it's simplicity, but the babyli.st sounds really cool!!

We didn't do one.... and I'm glad. I stalked my registry and most things weren't bought until the day of my shower. Literally, I looked at it that morning and by the time I got to my shower and opened gifts there were a ton more things bought! You can't do that if you need to get something shipped, so I feel like more people would have gone off registry because they procrastinate too much.

I registered with Amazon and love it! Free shipping and it tends to be slightly cheaper than a brick-and-mortar store. Plus, everyone has been purchasing off my Amazon registry more than the brick and mortar store one!

@allison: I LOVE the idea of non-tangible items. Obviously, most people wouldn't gift this to us, but I know our families would. Thank you!!

I used babyli.st. I really liked it because I was able to organize it exactly how I wanted. And you can add intangible items like cost of a doula, postpartum meals, etc. You can upload your own photos and enter your own descriptions, or you can install the browser button and add items from websites that way. I tried an Amazon list (lots of people like this) and myregistry.com, but didn't like them for different reasons. Check out babyli.st!

We did a Target store registry (you can also add online items!) and a Amazon online registry. No issues! The only sucky part is when people forget to mark an item as purchased. But same can happen with store registries.
I loved that Amazon is a universal registry so I can add stuff from other websites onto it as well.

Did you do an online gift registry? I'm sure we'll register at Target, but a lot of the thing we're eyeing are a bit obscure. I know I've heard of people using an online registry (especially since our family is across the country). Which one did you use? Would you recommend it? Was it easy to manage?
