I hated it and put it on the street for someone to pick up for free. But we got the frog for like half the price of the chameleon at the time (on totsy.com I think?) so I was totally ok with forgoing a few extra features to save so much. I would take it - worst case scenario like you said you can buy the donkey. I've heard bad things about the little board you can add to the back of it for a toddler though - basically that it is situated right where you want to walk so it makes it harder to handle. We are expecting our second right now and I think we'll just use the stroller for the baby and have the toddler walk, b.c he's on such a "I'm a BIG boy" kick right now that anything 'babyish' is a total insult. Or if we are going somewhere like the zoo that is a big outing we could just pop the baby in the ergo if he wants to ride after awhile. It worked everywhere, in the snow, on uneven sidewalks and the folding process is super easy.
