<description>&#60;p&#62;Ooh, I bet that does hurt! I did something similar once, sliced off a good piece of thumb with a seam ripper. It went through the nail (those things are sharp!), but thankfully didn't damage it permanently. But it sucked. Personally, I wouldn't go work out, since that's going to get your blood pressure up. It's hard enough for it to clot well without any way of closing it, so I feel like it would make bleeding worse to exercise. But what do I know?! :) Hope it feels better really soon!

<description>&#60;p&#62;So an hour ago I sliced the top of my thumb off with my mandolin thing. Ouch! There is nothing to get stitched back on, but it is still bleeding steadily. And I am supposed to go to spin class in an hour.&#60;br /&#62;
What would you do?&#60;br /&#62;
Leave it, and go to spin, changing bandaids as needed? Stay home and cry? Ditch spin and go get it checked out?&#60;br /&#62;
I want all the sympathy in the world. It hurts!
