How long are you going between nursing sessions during the day? Since you're nursing daily a fair amount I would be inclined to think you'd be fine but even at that point, I would get super engorged if I didn't pump while away even once.

If it was me, I would keep pumping once a day until he's 1 and continue to give him the pumped milk, either in a bottle, sippy cup, smoothie, etc until it runs out. You don't need to donate it after he's 1!

My understanding is you have to keep the same number of "depletions" in a 24 hour period to keep your supply the same. So if you ditch the pump, you'd have to add another nursing session into the rest of your day somehow to keep the current supply. Depending on how much "extra" you make from pumping that goes into your freezer stash, a small dip may not be a huge deal but you may have to play around with the feed schedule (maybe throw in a dreamfeed or snack?)

After I pump weaned, I was able to continue nursing once a day for two more months, so it's definitely doable! I don't know that your supply will stay up for those weekend sessions though - I weaned nursing during the day on the weekends when I pump weaned to be consistent.

Alright bees, I want to know if it's possible/if I should stop pumping. I'll have to check it again, but I'm pretty certain I have enough stash to cover LO's daytime weekday bottles until a year or beyond (he's 10 months). I want to keep breastfeeding him as usual, which currently is AM, after school, bedtime, and sometimes MOTN. Weekends I breastfeed him during the day.

Will it tank my supply to wean the pump/stop pumping? Or should I just keep going two more months? I currently pump once a day at work. I suppose I could donate what's left if I kept pumping?
