@JennyG: Hahaha!! That's really funny!
@Mrs.KMM: They are the Wondfos so I'm glad to know that it doesn't have to be room temperature. Thanks!

@Candy_nee: I just had a super blond moment reading your post. When you said it's big with high ceilings, I was thinking "wow, that's a cool cupboard under the sink." Umm, I'm pretty sure you meant the bathroom, not under the sink.

I'm not sure what cheapies you are using but I used Wondfos and I didn't let my urine sit (at least not for any more than the 30-45 seconds it took me to finish my business and dip the test strip) and they worked just fine!

Ok, good! Thanks ladies. The thought of letting my cup of pee just chill out for a few hours grosses me out!
I keep my OPKs in the bathroom under the sink. It's big with high ceilings so it never gets overly hot or steamy in there.

I've never used room temperature pee, and I haven't had an issue. I'd think (hope?) they're just warning you not to store your OPKs in the wrong environment.

Never did this. Peed in a cup, stuck the stick in, and then poured the cup out and threw it away.

I've never left it out, I pee in a cup and test right away on internet cheapies.

I also use test sticks for a opk monitor that I pee directly on.

Ok, I need some OPK help. I'm TTC for number 2. With number 1 we had to use all sorts of help to conceive so I never did an OPK. This time we are using Clomid, but in order to not be blindsided if it doesn't work, I bought some cheapie OPKs online.
My questions is - the instructions say that both the test strip and the urine have to be room temperature. Is that for real? And, if so, how long do you guys typically leave your urine out to make it get to room temperature?
