@MrsCastro: This is my first month using OPK. I told my husband when I ordered them ... I think he's a bit clueless about what they actually do, but the other night, I showed him one and explained it. He didn't really seem to care either way, ha. I guess that's a good thing.

@ineebee: If you're seeing an RE I invite you to join the Infertility Thread. It was great help for me through all of my issues and my RE experiences. I'm still pretty active there.

@Marionberry: I couldn't have said it better myself! I think the hardest part of TTC was when I felt alone in it a few months ago. Now that we're seeing an RE, I thought I'd be upset about it, but really, now that DH shares my anxiety and hope and excitement and disappointment, it has made it so so so much easier.

I'm with @ineebee:. My husband always wanted to know what was going on, so he knew when I bought the OPKs, used them, tested for pregnancy and saw those multiple BFN's. If I had the chance to go back and change things, I wouldn't. I needed my DH to go through the journey with me, so that he'd understand what I was going through and not think I was an emotional mess for no reason, lol.

I never told my husband I was using them but he knew I had some sort of system to let me know when I might be ovulating.

Mine knows, he knows that my ovaries are titchy and just accepts it as part of the deal. I don't really tell him when they are positive though, I don't think it really bothers him. He's just "Yay, sex!"

I started using them because my period was really weird even 6-7 months after stopping BC, so he was glad to know that I was trying to see what was going on down there. At first, he didn't want to know the specifics, but like a lot of your DHs, eventually got excited for smiley faces!

We've been TTC for 14 months now, and he's pretty in tune with my cycle at this point: He wants to see my chart, wonders if I got a smiley, asks me if I've been spotting, etc., etc., which he's fine with! I think it's because he's fascinated by the whole process, which I'm not complaining about! :)

he knows i ordered them, because i'm trying to figure out my cycle post bcp. but i don't tell him when i use them, not even when i got my one +. i don't want to get him to get his hopes up. but i ended up telling him after i ovulated because i was all excited my body started working, ha. but, it was kinda funny b/c he literally jumped me like 5 seconds after i got my +...somehow i guess he knew! ha

I told him and told him when they were positive the first couple of months, but that turned out to end in disaster because it was too much pressure. So then I'd tell him my expected 'week' it would be positive and alert him after the fact that we were done. :)

My DH knew from the second I ordered, but I kind of wishes I'd kept them my dirty secret as to not add stress for him about timing and fertility windows, blah blah blah lol

I didn't tell him when I first started using them, but when it started taking longer than predicted, I told him about it. Every month since then, he would inquire if the test was positive or not.

He knew I was using them but didn't know the details until the day I got my smiley face on the OPK...then I told him that it was prime time and to get ready :) The month I used OPKs was the month I got KU.

I was too embarrassed to tell him at first (I didn't want to admit I was so desperate for a baby!) but, when I got my first positive - and he didn't want to BD - I blurted it out and told him I'd got a positive OPK!

do you use OPK's?

did you tell DH you are using OPK's? if so, when? from the beginning? after?

I started using OPK's back in september, well i never told DH that i was using OPK's, didnt want to stress it out, but i finally just told him last month i had been using them...he saw my pregression for last month and asked "when are you planning to tell me you are pregnant" (face to palm)....now he understands more about why i use them and what they actually mean...
