My LO had something like this at the beginning of summer. She threw up any time she ate for about 12 hours. No fever, and she was fine in between episodes. She wanted to eat and drink, too! After the first day, every morning she would throw up after eating for a week. The rest of the day she was fine. We kept her on the brat diet mostly. After a week of this it just stopped. She had a 15 month Ped visit during that week and the Ped said to lay off dairy and stay on bland foods. She wasn't concerned because there was no fever and LO was staying hydrated.

Doesn't seem urgent as long as she is keeping down some water, but I'd definitely take her to the doc in the morning. Puking isn't that big of a deal but it seems to be lasting a while.

@rosegold: thanks for the well wishes!

@MrsRcCar: that's a good idea- I'm going to try that'

@Mrs. Deer: she seems a lot better since she woke up, even said she was hungry and ate some crackers and applesauce. Most concerned about her being dehydrated at this point. She will drink water but worried she's drinking too much (wonder if part of the problem this morning). So am trying to focus on pedialyte!

@abmamma: I think reassessing when she's up is a good idea. Usually stomach bugs are more short-lived. If she's still unhappy after this snooze maybe take her in just for peace of mind?

@travellingbee: I'm trying to get her to drink more pedialyte but she keeps saying she just wants water! I may try diluting it or getting DH to get a different flavor.

@Mrs. Deer: she definitely seems miserable! She's not really answering if I ask her where her belly hurts. I mentioned the dr to DH and she flipped out a little so have a feeling that she doesn't want to answer as a result.

She feel asleep on the couch so may reassess when she wakes up. So stressful! Thanks for the replies!

Does her tummy hurt in one particular spot or all over? If she looks ok and happy I'd wait and check-in with your doctor tomorrow, but if she starts looking miserable today and vomiting more I think it would be understandable to go to UC.

I mean, it could just be a normal virus but I'd take her to the doctor tomorrow. I don't think I'd do urgent care as long as she is not dehydrated. Get more pedialyte in her.

DD is almost 3 and to date our vomiting experience has been limited to a few bouts of car sickness. But she has been sick quite a bit this week. Long story short:
- Tuesday night she threw up while eating dinner we thought it was because it went down the wrong way and her gag reflex is strong
-Thursday night she didn't want to eat dinner but otherwise was fine but threw up at 1:30am and again at 2:00.
-Friday she threw up after trying to eat a few bites of plain toast. Was not feeling great Friday but managed to keep down water, pedialyte, some crackers, etc.
-Saturday seemed mostly back to normal- tried to limit her food to bland things and stuck with pedialyte and water.
-woke up this morning not feeling- said her belly hurt, had some water then threw up twice. Seemed like all water.

She doesn't have a fever. This whole thing just seems weird and not sure what else if anything to do. Also I'm 39 weeks pregnant and a little worried about getting the virus/delivering while she is still sick...

Sorry for the long post - any thoughts would be great!!
