I feel like you will be able to fill them all and keep things organized. Later it can be toys. Think one for blocks, one for balls, etc. Keep in mind though that LO will go through a stage where he pulls everything out of your nearly organized bins...

I think your idea is great. We have a dresser that is her changing table too and in the top drawer (it has 2 dividers, so 3 sections) we have diapers, wipes, socks, creams, nail clippers, bows, baby legs etc, and then 2 drawers have clothes and one has blankets and sheets. The closet also has more clothes and some blankets. We have one of those clear drawer organizers that also holds some odds and ends in her closet. We have those cubby things with the collapsible bins for her toys and books.

For our storage we have a dresser serving as a changing table, with a cabinet, two small upper drawers, and two bigger drawers (this one: http://www.landofnod.com/oak-park-elementary-dresser/f4735) -- a hanging closet shelf organizer -- and 4 storage cubes in an IKEA expedit. We also have a rubbermaid tote in the closet and a caddy on the dresser top. And an extra storage cube to the right of the Expedit.

We have:
Caddy on top: Diaper ointments, wipes, etc.
Dresser cabinet: Extra wipes (we bought a box of like 800 so there are TONS), clear storage box of first aid/grooming stuff, extra formula we got as samples just in case
Top dresser drawers: Diapers/some burp cloths/changing pad liners in one, socks/hats/legwarmers in others
Middle big drawer: newborn and 0-3 month clothes
Bottom big drawer: burp cloths, sheets, non-A+A swaddles
Closet organizer: one shelf each for clothes of each developmental period (3-6, 6-9, etc.)
Rubbermaid tote: Extra blankets (we got way too many hand-me-downs)
Storage cubes in Expedit: 1 for breastfeeding stuff like nursing pads, steam bags, boppy covers, etc. This stuff may end up relocating as we get into the swing of things -- 1 for extra burp cloths (we bought a ton of the Gerber cloth diapers) -- 2 for toys (tons of hand me downs)
Storage cube sitting off to the side: A+A blankets

Everything is pretty well stowed away this way. It will be interesting to see how well it lasts!

We also have a hook rail for the diaper bag and other random hanging stuff, and a hook on the back of the closet door for the baby carrier, etc.

There's a wall of built in shelves in the nursery. I got fabric drawers for a few of the shelves, to make them more useable but im wondering what all I can or will want to put in those drawers.

I've got 9 of them but was debating about getting 3-9 additional ones (I have 21 shelves in this wall unit and 3 drawers fit on one shelf. 9 more drawers would convert all the shelves within arms reach into drawers)

I'm thinking extra diapers, wipes, first aid kit, extra bath stuff, toys, etc. will go into the drawers. Maybe even the spare sheets, blankets, burp cloths, changing pad covers, etc.

How did you organize LO's nursery?
