@Foodnerd81: We have some of those too!!! Although Hubs doesn't like them as much as the sleepers because he has to actually put them over Xander's head and they only button around the legs!

I do both-- in our changing table dresser, I have matching outfits, and in her other dresser, I have her clothes divided by accessories (bows, socks, etc.), tops, bottoms, and PJs. My mom and husband are both TERRIBLE when it comes to matching pieces so she always looks like she dressed herself.

@glimmersnaps: I don't have that issue, thank goodness. I've only had to change him twice in one day a handful of times.

I do this method primarily because the sorting by piece of clothing type didn't work for me...I'd pull out a pair of pants and then have to go through all the onesies to find one that didn't clash with it, so I just started grouping things together.

@Looch how do you deal with extra changes of clothes? Like I change DD 3 to 4 times a day...

@Adira: we have a couple of one piece outfits that are more day outfits than pjs (like the kind that look like layered t shirts on top). I thought about explaining the difference to Dh and decided it's not worth it :)

I'm re-doing DDs closet now and trying to figure this out myself! I think what I'll end up doing is hanging them by type (onesies, dresses, tshirts, pants, etc) but if something really only matches with one thing then I'll attach the pants to the top. Like with those really matchy-matchy Carter's outfits. Does that make sense?

@Foodnerd81: We're the same - Xander's been living in footed sleepers because that's the extend that my husband is willing to dress him! I already had to warn him that it's harder to find footed sleepers in 12m, so we're going to have to start dressing Xander in "real clothes" soon!

I separate by clothing type so that I can mix and match. Sometimes I regret it though because ill forget that certain outfits go together.

I separate them and put them in with the "appropriate" stacks. I remember which pieces belonged to which outfit. Plus, we were gifted a bunch of hand me downs so I like that I can mix and match his pants and onesies and the jackets go with anything.

I do outfits together, hung in a 6 compartment organizer from the closet rod so my husband and I can just grab and dress in the morning. I even put the socks in the compartment.

I love that people do things just to make it easier for their DH to dress the baby :) When DH dresses her it's usually footed PJs, day or night. We keep it casual around here.

I mostly separate sets, but for the ones that don't match anything else I keep them together. It makes it easy to direct DH to a single outfit. When left to separates he gets overwhelmed.

If I bought it as a set from Carter's then I keep together and hang those. If I buy separates and make an outfit, I keep as separates. Then I organize her drawers so pants are in stacks by color. And same with shirts and onesies.

I used to make outfits so that DH could easily dress her as well. But now he's comfortable mixing and matching on his own so I group everything by type.

I don't buy a ton of sets, but I separate by clothing type. Even when I have sets, I end up mixing & matching rather than doing the whole set together.
I do onesises, shirts, and leggings/knit pants in one drawer, dresses (knit, we don't do fancy hanger-necessary dresses), overalls, sweaters, and one-pieces in another drawer, PJS in a drawer, and then I have a rack of hooks for hoodies.

No, I keep them seperate, I'm a mix and matcher, so pants could work with another shirt ect. If a pair of navy pants come with an outfit no reason for me to have to get another pair for her to wear with a different short.

When organizing a Los clothes, do you keep outfits together (like the 3 piece Carter's ones that have pants, onesie, long sleeve top), or keep pants together, short sleeve onesies, long sleeves...

I finally washed her 3-6 month stuff and need to put it away. I can't believe she is outgrowing her 0-3 stuff (even though she is almost 4 months).
