At different ages, different things. We used a plastic tub organizer until 3. Also a low hammock in the corner for dolls and stuffed animals is a lifesaver. LO loves throwing her toys up in it. Now at 4, we got rid of the tubs and I have a drawer for random rotating out stuff, an easy access fabric box for little stuff (separated in bags, containers or just placed inside), a combo chair/storage for her dressup stuff, another shelf by her clothes for more dressup/purses, bookshelf of endless books and most other things on display (dollhouse/vet set). Her games go in the family game closet.

Same way, totes and big bins. We use their play kitchen a lot to store toys too. I hate mixing toys abd like storing everything that goes together in one spot.

I'm an organized person by nature. I like everything in my house to have a "spot" to call home. My oldest is more like my husband in that "if it fits in this overstuffed box it's cool" which drives me nuts :) With all the new toys we've received I went and bought MORE baskets so everything has a home in addition to the 9 cube cubbies in her room. I'm hoping this works. How do you organize toys?
