There was a period of time (relatively short honestly) when I was starting to feel really one and done. DH felt the same way - at one point he was very sure! I didn't think about more kids for like the first 9 months of LO's life. Then everyone started getting pregnant again and I was like, "What?! That's nuts!" (Happy for them but it sounded nuts to me.) I was still reeling from the newborn/infant days. Things got so good around 12 months and better and better every day after that - I just really felt like, our life is great, why complicate it with one of those awful babies? ;) </p> <p>But, I guess biology is strong... because the fever is back. Enough time has passed that I think I am crazy enough to have another one. Hopefully what you hear is true, and if you have a hard first baby, the second is easy! At peace with one LO and happy.<br /> We have gotten a lot of flack and I feel like we have to defend our decision a lot. He’s the one who had it last time (had it bad) – I’ve never had baby fever at all, and I don’t want another. I just love our life and our family so much. Honestly, I know it’s totally irrational, but I get so jealous of LO when I think about having another baby. I want LO all to myself and I get to spend so little time with her as it is, sigh. </p> <p>We are going to snuggle up on an infant this weekend, which I think will be my husband’s baby-rabies test.
