We were mostly in soft mocs, and now at 14 mo she is in Stride Rite, and Jack &amp; Lily. I put Stride Rite when we go out where she could be outdoors. There are no shoes sold that are suitable for outdoor walking in such a small size. Fortunately she's now at 12 months wearing a size three and I'm finding some ok shoes for her to walk in. C's first shoes when she was actually walking were stride rite- cute, very flexible for learning to walk, and not too expensive because we have an outlet near us (though prices are similar to regular stores really!). She'll be moving up to the 1 yr old room at daycare soon where the kids go outside twice per day. We live in a wet climate and the playground has wood chips. What kind of outdoor shoes did you use for your early walker? </p>
