We have a tub that grows with her. We'll take the infant seat out and there's a tiny tub. Then when she outgrows that she'll go in the bath tub and her baby tub turns into a stool for me to sit on when I bathe her.

We've started taking LO into the shower with us. Now that she's in swimming classes I want her to get more comfortable with water on her face. She doesn't mind the shower at all, its easy and so little cleaup afterwards!

we used a similar tub to the one mrs yoyo mentioned from one step ahead.

http://www.amazon.com/Secure-Transitions-Inflatable-Baby-Tub/dp/B002YQPDFK/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1326833898&sr=8-4

it was great! then at 14 months we got a bath mat and transitioned into the regular bathtub.

We're planning to use the inflatable duck tub @Mrs. Yoyo is using when LO outgrows the puj tub. I have a couple friends who use it and love it. Added bonus - it's cheap, easily portable, and stores in a tiny amount of space.

We were just gifted this tub by DH's godmother - http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3680336. I never saw it before when I was registering and the idea is so neat! It has an infant insert which is great for the early months, but I like that it's a basic tub with a base so less crouching over. Plus the base can be a step stool when LO gets older. I haven't used it yet so I can't give a review yet, but it seems like a good concept.

We still bathe our 1 year old in his tub, he just sits in there, there's plenty of room for him.

Check out the Munchkin inflatable duck tub. We are at the same stage -- he's too big for his little whale tub, but still seems scared to be in the big tub unless we're with him.

@pelikila: LOL, I clicked on the link and the baby that they have in the bather is a chubbywub...So cute. :D So, LO can sit on her own now, which made me think that she's technically ready for the bathtub. SIGH.

We went from the Puj Tub in the kitchen sink to a SaferBather Infant Bath Pad (http://www.amazon.com/Leachco-Safer-Bather-Infant-Bath/dp/B00005JIVI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1326809487&sr=8-1) in the tub and around 6 months when my son started to support himself once put in a sit we would let him sit but always with our hands on him.

What kind of tub is it? Some tubs are large enough for toddlers. The fisherprice tub I bought has a seat inside that can be removed to transition from infant to toddler stage. At 5.5 months she is still too small to just go in the regular bath tub

We started putting our LO in the bathtub at around 3 months or so because she was splashing too much.
At first we put a towel down and folded a small towel for her "pillow." Filled the tub up about 2-3 inches and had her lie down in the bath.
Did that until she started flipping over and sitting up. Now DH usually goes into the bath with her. When he's out of town I'll go in with her, or I'll just have her sit in the bath herself.

At 5.5 months, LO is starting to get too big for her infant tub. Does that mean she goes straight into the big-girl tub (ie. bathtub)? She still seems so little!

What did you do when your LO got too big for the infant tub?
