After reading this thread, I decided to order some more tees from Gap. I'm 33 weeks now and hate buying more maternity clothes but I figure I will probably be living in these t-shirts after LO arrives too.
@LulaBee: I wore my Storq dress all the time when I was pregnant with LO1 - I agree -it is so soft and versatile. I asked DH to pull out my summer maternity clothes last night. With temperatures in the 70s this week, I think it's time to start wearing it again.

I've started trying to dress up more casual clothing when I go into work. I also had to give in and buy some more spring clothing this past week even tho I'm 31 weeks. What a rip off, but I am seriously just sweating my tail off in the winter clothes I had. My best success is just to wear a cotton dress from target or old navy and just dress it up with a nice necklace or scarf. All of the regular maternity shirts I had no longer completely cover my bump.

@LulaBee: same here! I got the whole basics package and I only wore the tank. I felt like it was too tight around my butt and pelvis, like the shape of even my pelvic bone showed. If that makes sense? The one I had from old navy flared out at the waist

@Autumnmama79: I don't disagree with any of the things she loves about it and I actually had a different similar black spandex dress from one navy that I wore all the time. it looks like storq might have changed the sizes, mine was just too small and tight. I had the largest one and I do usually wear large and sometimes medium.

Do crop sweaters work over a tank for professional wear? Or more of a sweater that hangs open?

@pastemoo: when you mention your husband's clothes, do you mean maybe a dress shirt? I feel that could work, if you roll the sleeves and pop the collar. Or what would you be using?

I kind of feel like you can't go wrong with a tank and an open cardigan.

The target stretchy Liz Lange shirts and tanks were super long. The cotton ones were not long enough. I am tall and had the same problem!

As far as what to wear to work, I think it depends on the dress code, but I do think you can get away with a little more during pregnancy.

I wore the gap fit body maternity shirts, and even those, I had XL's and I outgrew them, lengthwise (I'm 5'11"). I wore them with dress pants and cardigans to work a lot. I dressed them up with jewelry. I also wore maxi skirts, because the full panel provided more coverage. At the very end, a lot of jersey dresses that were more like shirts

@pastemoo: glad I'm not the only one! I've officially reached shamu status over here and the clothing pickins are slim... Every day I wear maternity leggings that come up to my bra, a long tank top from pea in the pod and then a cardigan sweatshirt thing. I have 3 of those that I rotate. It's pitiful but I refuse to buy anything else at this point! The next thing I buy will be non-preggo clothes

When I got to that pointed, I ordered a few of these shirts in a size up from my normal maternity size. Yes, from Walmart, but they are so soft and a good weight. A lot better than Motherhood tees for hald the price. They were plenty long (despite not looking it in the picture)

I avoided empire waists like the plague for the same reason. I Had this wonderful long, ruched tank from Old Navy that got so much wear in the third tri when all my other shirts got too short. I'm looking for more like that to get me through the summer and toying with the idea of making some of my own shirts so they will fit.

Pic of me at 40 weeks in my holy grail shirt.
