@TurtleDoves: The outward position I used was just like the blue Moby picture, only I cross their legs and only pull the top part up halfway, so it's more like a seat and less like a Bjorn.

@winniebee: I don't know how these people in the picture did it, but apparently it is possible!
I found this forum where women were discussing this exact thing:

Yes, I think it's called the "Lotus" position? Put your wrap on the same way. Facing the baby outward, place the legs through the inner straps (like the inward facing position, but backwards). Then pull the fabric up over his/her crossed legs and tummy, so it creates more of a seat. We started using this position with both kids once they were old enough to hold their heads up pretty well on their own (7/8 weeks?). Honestly, this was the only way I could use the Moby at that point, because my kids didn't want to face inward anymore! I've switched to the Ergo now with DS, but he only tolerates it for a short time unless he's tired and wants to sleep. He prefers outward facing so he look at everything!

Anyone wear their baby in their moby in an outward position? I haven't used the moby in about a month b/c DS seems to only like facing outward lately. Is it safe to outward face and do you have any good instructions for how to wrap outward facing?
