My RE said I had a cyst and they only proceeded with the IUI as long as my E2 levels weren't rising. My RE before my curent RE did not proceed with a IUI because of a cyst. Neither of them resulted in a pregnancy but then again IUIs did not work for me. I had perfect IUIs without cysts and they weren't successful.

@MrsADS: I had a small cyst at the baseline ultrasound before starting my IVF cycle. My RE did the same thing as yours...checked my estrogen levels and then decided we could proceed because it was likely just a simple fluid filled cyst since my estrogen levels were normal. FX that you can proceed with your IUI cycle as planned

I don't have experience with exactly that, but I do have experience with cysts. I seem to routinely develop them and have been monitored every few months for nearly a year just to make sure they stay "simple cysts."

We've also been unsuccessfully TTC since February, so at my last followup I asked the doctor if the cycsts could be affecting that (especially since they're getting quite large - 5-6 cm.

He said no. that it's not as if it would block anything. That a lot of people get pregnant while they have cysts.

So I don't have a success story for you, but my doctor agrees with yours that everything should be ok.

Good luck!

So, I went in for my initial CD2 baseline ultrasound before starting Clomid + trigger + IUI this cycle. The u/s showed that I had a small cyst on one of my ovaries. The u/s tech said it should not be a problem to start my Clomid and continue on with the cycle, but she drew bloodwork to check my estrogen levels (I think??). They said if the cyst is not affecting my estrogen levels, then they can proceed with treatment.

Is this anything to be worried about? Anyone have experience with this?
