I went to 41+3 &amp; had her at 41+5. We also didn't sweep bc DD was still high, she didn't really get engaged until I was in labor after we used a rebozo to help get her in better position.</p> <p>I did alot of nothing until 41+2 &amp; then did only things that would wear me out like food choices, acupressure, got an adjustment, &amp; sex with DH. I knew I'd need my energy for labor so I just let my body do its thing. It was a VERY long labor (5 nights of "false labor" from 3-7am then 36 hrs to go from 1-4cm &amp; another 8 to have her) but it was totally worth it! At 39 weeks I was 5 cm dilated and still did not feel a single contraction. Over a week later, still no action.</p> <p>I ended up having to get induced and up until that point I never felt a single contraction on my own even though I was half way dilated already! They won't strip your membranes unless you've dilated. From what i hear though, labour starts pretty early if you get them stripped. It sounds like you can ask your OB to do it.</p> <p>2 days before i went into labour (which ended up being the day i was supposed to be induced), i did acupuncture to get it started. It took two treatments, and finally contractions started. Unfortunately, i had contractions for 12 hours before they got close enough for me to go to the hospital. </p> <p>Good luck! My pressure was slightly high so I was sent to the hospital for an ultrasound and it was discovered my fluids were low and I had to be induced. I'm going to a friend's pool today to beat the heat because I am tired of bouncing on my exercise ball, walking, eating spicy food, eating pineapples, boning, and stimulating my nips. Lol.</p> <p>I have an OB appointment on Wednesday (oh yeah, my own OB went on vacation Friday night and won't be back until the 18th) for a check up. I've been declining cervical checks since week 36 (when I had my Group B swab, and I am GBS+), and I was 1cm &amp; 50% then. </p> <p>Overdue mamas, did you get checked after you were 40 Weeks? Did you have your membranes stripped? I've been feeling normal baby movement and I don't want to be induced. Any advice? </p>
