ha, i guess i am the exception here because not only do i feel capable of eating insanely large amounts of food, i do sometimes! i do wonder though if it is partly related to the fact that i know i don't have to diet and constantly watch my weight the way i always tried to do pre-pregnancy. It is like i am just giving into the appetite i had before and i am enjoying every bite of it :) and i have been really good with exercise, so even though every pound i put on, i feel like a fat cow, the numbers on the scale have actually been increasing at a slow and steady rate as they should be.

from weeks 15-20, i had the problem of feeling really full, really fast and it made me sad because i would get so hungry, and i wouldn't be able to eat what i wanted. last week or two, i feel like i can fit more in there for some reason, and have been able to eat more normally, but i still cannot eat as much as i did pre-pregnancy.

There are days where I can't eat enough and other days where nothing sounds good and I'm full after a few bites. It's pretty much been like this the whole pregnancy but I'm only at 20w.

Same here! I was worried about it for a while and am still only up maybe 5 lbs at 20 weeks. The appetite just hasn't been there even without real morning sickness!

The other day we went to eat at a delicious cafe and I ended up with a huge amount of food. I thought there was no way I'd even be able to dent it but then put away two eggs, hashbrowns, 2 pieces of bacon and a 6" pancake. I don't even know the last time I ate that much! I was so proud of myself and figured I'd finally have a "good" calorie count that day but then didn't eat hardly anything else all day! Totally backfired.

But I've also realized my boobs, belly, waist and bum are all bigger so maybe scales just don't know what they're talking about. I've over worrying about it. I have a food/exercise/water tracker on my phone and that's good enough.

I'm with you. Not super hungry, never clearing my plate these days. I'm ok with it, though - 22 weeks and +8lbs.

I'm always starving and then I can't finish anything. I'm only 8 weeks along, but I've heard it gets worse, as well. Of course, I'm not being very discriminate in what I'm eating -- I've been craving pizza and pasta and Chinese food like nobody's business, and totally giving into it. So I think it's just basically evening out lol.

I ate like a cow when I was pregnant with LO. Gained over 50 pounds!
This time around I haven't been eating much. I think I've gained about 4 lbs so far (14+weeks along). Goal is to keep it under 25.

That is how I have been these last couple of days (I'll be 16 weeks tomorrow). I eat not even complete meals and feel really full. I want to eat more though because I keep getting these moments of feeling really weak.

Only in the last 4 weeks was I super hungry... The rest of pregnancy I didn't eat any more than my non-pregnant coworkers (and somehow I still gained a bunch!)

I eat far less now than I did pre-pregnancy. At 16 weeks, I have barely any appetite. I never get hungry, I just start feeling a little nauseous - which is my cue to eat something. Unfortunately this is when I *least* want to eat anything...but I force myself.

I am the same way, however I catch myself eating more snacks than I ever used too. I think this is why I fill up faster. Big meals don't work for me, smaller meals do.

According to my OB you really only need an extra 200 calories each day during pregnancy so as long as you are doing your best to eat healthy you dont have to worry about trying to eat much more than usual. My appetite definitely increased more towards the end of the pregnancy

Me too, I eat bigger portions than pre-pregnancy, but I def don't have the urge to over-indulge and I haven't had any cravings either. Esp on my work from home days, I have to remind myself to eat meals, etc. No hunger signals at all. I'm around 19-20 wks and have gained a total of 13 lbs.

So far at 22 weeks, I haven't noticed an increase in appetite either. I was so sick the first trimester that I hardly ate. There have been a few times where I felt hungrier than usual. I've still managed to gain about 12 lbs so far.

Same here!!!! I was really stressed about it, especially because I'm still down a few pounds from my pre pregnancy weight! My doctor isn't concerned at all. She said to just listen to my body and eat when I'm hungry and when I am able to eat to just make sure it's healthy food like lean protein and fruits and veggies.

I just can't eat nearly as much as I thought I would during pregnancy. I had no appetite in the first trimester. And now I have a normal appetite, but seem to get full very fast. That full feeling is only going to get worse as I get bigger.

Anyone else not able to eat that much?

I always heard the folklore about pregnant ladies being able to eat everything in sight, but that hasn't been the case for me at all.
