Seems to depend a lot on the baby's body type. For DS #2 Pampers Overnights or Huggies Overnights are fine. For DS #1 I can't put him in anything but Luvs overnight or he leaks. Of course, this is also the only brand that DS#2 leaks out of. Weird.

I have been researching this as well since we were using Honest diapers and LO was waking up wet every day. We switched to Earth's Best (regular, not overnight) and they seem to be helping. LO is also skipping his middle of the night feeding lately (thank you LO!) so maybe that is helping. The only "crunchy" brand of overnights I've seen is Seventh Generation and only for size 4. We are currently in size 3s and I'm not sure if size 4 overnights would be too big on LO so I haven't tried them yet.

@brownie: yeah I feel like changing at her first MOTN wake up would be the easiest solution and we could keep CDing. It just makes those wakeups 100x more dramatic because then she wakes up all the way and either I feed her and then change her and she's wide away. Or I change her and she gets really upset she isn't eating yet, and then I have to calm her down to feed her. When right now I feed her, she nurses quickly, and then back to sleep - so it's pretty painless (other than the waking up part for me!).

@Astro Bee: I'd way rather stick with CD at night, but DH is a little burnt out. We're having some mysterious mold issue that is surviving all kinds of bleaching and we can't figure out how it started. So our CDing in general is on the rocks. I'm afraid to invest in anything new since it might catch this weird mold stuff and then be ruined! I looove CDing though so I am really sad about even giving in at night, but I'm tired of my baby girl waking up soggy every morning (and all the laundry I then have to do, let's be honest).

We have had a ton of success with huggie overnights now that he is almost 4. As a baby, the seventh gen overnights worked well. But if you and baby are already getting up in the night, I would just change the diaper. We still have to change in the middle of the night once a week and he is dry in the morning most nights. Sometimes he just soaks a diaper.

@MenagerieMama: We also switched to disposables at night and just used plain Huggies Snug & Dry (not the Overnights) when she was littler. She's now 20 months and we recently had to switch to the actual Huggies Overnights even though she was in the correct size. I liked the Snug & Dry because they are less bulky/plastic-y feeling, but you may need the Overnights! It is so nice not to wake up to leaks!!

We use Huggies Overnights with a disposable diaper booster (you can find them on Amazon or Babies R Us). My daughter is a really heavy wetter and that combo keeps her dry all night. Her diaper weighs like 5 pounds in the morning.

@avivoca: good call - she's about 16.5 lb and fits size 2. Maybe trying size 3 overnight would work! We'll need a pack of 3s for backup anyhow in the future so that seems like a good thing to try. I just need to find somewhere that I won't have to buy a jumbo pack!

We had to switch to disposables at night because she pees so much. How much does your daughter weigh? She might do well with a one size up diaper. I use Target disposables and haven't had a problem until very recently (we need to size up but I just bought an entire box).

Are you using the thirsties inserts alone or with other inserts.... because the freetimes has 2 attached "inserts" the thirsties are in addition to that. So she's got like 3 very absorbant layers at night.

The huggies work really well though

@Chillybear: we've been using a large Thirsties hemp insert in with the MF for our 4.0s and still leaks! If only she didn't get up so much at night to nurse... good tip on cvs for diapers - I hadn't thought about that for the smaller size boxes! We only used half a small pack of size ones as it was for backup and now she's on to size two...

i use BG Freetimes exclusively and when LO started leaking through those i picked up 4 thirsties Hemp inserts online at target. The small size fits perfectly in the freetimes and has worked well at night.
http://www.target.com/p/thirsties-duo-hemp-inserts-white-2-pack-select-size/-/A-13764704#prodSlot=medium_1_1&term=Thirsties+Hemp+Inserts

The last month or so we had some issues (stomach bugs and rashes) that caused us to switch to disposables temporarily I was able to pick up a smaller pack of huggies over nights at CVS (like 30 diapers) to try out and they work great. Target and BRU only sells the big boxes.

We CD during the day wiht our son and have had to use disposables at night for the very same reason. We first bought a few Itti Bitti CD's ($$$) for overnights but I hated how wet he was in the morning so we switched to disposables. We found the huggies overnights were the only ones he didn't leak out of and we are still using them at 2.5 :)

My LO is almost 5 mo and pees a ton at night. We CD but she has been out peeing our overnight CD setup and due to some other issues we aren't open to buying more CD options for overnight yet (wool, etc). We tried one of the honest disposables we keep for backup last night but she leaked through that too!

So we need to buy some overnight disposables to keep my baby dry at night! I think she wouldn't wake up so early if she wasn't soggy, although it really doesn't seem to bother her in the least. What do you recommend? I don't know anything about sposies! Bonus if it's a "crunchy" overnight diaper and/or sold at target  though we'll take anything at this point!!
