@charlotte: I thought of having him sit on the potty, but I think he pees in the tub most nights... I'll have to ask DH

@Mrsbells: Overnights in a size up.

@HazelEyes: true! We cloth diapered during the day, so it wasn't that big of a deal for us. But I see how it could be!

We tried all the brands and the doublers and the only thing that worked for us were pampers overnight, one on regular and another (could be a regular non overnight) on backwards. It seemed like it was leaking at the top sides before that no matter what brand etc.

Or to avoid double diaper- could also try having him start sitting on a potty before bedtime diaper time. .once ours started sometimes going one last time it helped a lot...even before we started formally potty training!

So we've always used Target's Up&Up overnight diapers with absolutely no problems. I didn't have time to stop at Target recently so grabbed a pack of Pampers overnights, and they are so much worse! She is constantly soaked, though not always through to her clothes. A big part of me wants to just give up on the rest of the pack of Pampers and go buy more Up&Up, but then again I hate to waste the money...

Long story short - definitely try Up&Up!

I literally just put one diaper over the other at night, so he was wearing two diapers. Apparently that's what my mom did in the 80s with me, when diapers weren't as absorbent as they are now. We never had a leak after that.

@Anagram: that's a good thought!
@regberadaisy: @gingerbebe: good tip, maybe we'll get a small pack of Huggies and give those a try.

My friend had 2 skinny boys who were heavy wetters and the only thing that worked for her was a combo of Huggies overnights with the diaper doublers.

Huggies Overnites in a size up was our sweet spot for stopping leaks overnight with DD1.

@HazelEyes: There are disposable diaper doublers (or pad boosters) you can buy online that soak up extra wetness.

I'd try other brands. I find that the Up&Up diapers fit well on my skinny girl. She usually only leaks if she sleeps way longer than normal or she wiggles out of it.

J is 24 months and wears size 5 Pampers Swaddlers during the day and is totally fine. Overnight we do the Pampers night time ones and he was peeing through every night, so we bumped him up to 6s--which is usually what we do, size up overnight when he starts peeing through.

Well, this has not helped at. all. He's a tall, skinny 28 lbs and I think the 6s are too big and he's just leaking now.

Anyway, has anyone found a good alternative for overnights? Or do I just need to try a couple other brands?
