@T-Mom: maybe two bottles? I'll probably keep the nighttime and first morning bottles all the same. Don't want to set her up for a bad night of sleep for my BIL! ;)

@catomd00: In all likelihood she'll be fine and I know she won't starve. I just like to be prepared to reduce the chances of a cranky baby. We don't want this to be the last time they offer to watch our kids overnight.

That seems stressful, but I would just supplement with formula (if she won't take milk). I hope you get to enjoy your time out!!

At 11 months my daughter was eating enough solids that I wouldn't have worried about it for 36 hours. I would have given her more cheese and yogurt and call it a day.

@snowjewelz: fwiw, I never want to leave dd overnight because she only sporadically sttn at 17 months but every time she has slept at my in-laws (or with just DH home) she sttn!

@regberadaisy: if your supply stays status quo, how many bottles behind would you be during your trip? Could you just reduce the amount of breastmilk per bottle and top the remainder off with your choice of alternative? That way she is still getting mostly breastmilk for each feeding, so less chance of rejection or digestive issues...

@snowjewelz: yup, she wakes 1-2x a night. Hence, why it's only a overnight! LOL FX she gives them a good night and only wakes once!

#1 was way worse though until she was a older toddler. That with no one local to watch is why this will be our first sans kid "trip" in 3.5 years....

@regberadaisy: Oh then it shouldn't be a problem! I mean, sometimes they get fussy anyway and don't eat/drink as much anyway!

Does #2 still wake up a lot at night? I'm wondering b/c I feel like we'll never ever go away as long as she doesn't STTN since we don't want to bother anyone else to have to wake up with her!

@regberadaisy: I always got more milk when I pumped while she was feeding. Also, at that age, I started mixing WCM into H's bottles to cover what I needed and also to get her used to it. I hope she likes/can tolerate soy milk!

@snowjewelz: yup, our 5 year anniversary! My BIL and his gf were nice enough to watch the girls overnight.
We'll be close to home till checking in to a local hotel. I'm planning our day so I pump at home before heading out then stopping home to pump before checking in to the hotel. So she *should* be ok for that night, MOTN and morning bottles. She might just have to live with soy milk / formula until we get home late Saturday afternoon. She's a solids piggy so I think she will be ok.

@junebugsmama: I would but I already pump at 10 and don't get to bed till 11pm. Then she wakes 1-2x overnight and I need to wake for the day by 6 and we're out the door by 7 so there is no time for a morning pump. If she only nurses on the one side in the MOTN I always go downstairs to pump then.

@regberadaisy: I see other people's argument is that if the donor mom is also feeding her child with her milk, then it can't be that bad but it's just kinda weird to me haha. My SIL offered me her milk but I was kinda like...

I hope you don't have to stress about this when you're away!! So exciting! It's for your anniversary right?

Depending on how she sleeps, maybe try a motn/early early am pump? I know it sounds brutal but only for a few days...

I would definitely try getting her acclimated to milk or formula or whatever beforehand. With formula, it took LO awhile before he would drink it.

I would do milk - A is so close to 1 anyways! You can also do a combination of upping solids.

I wish you lived closer - I would share some of my stash!

I know that feeling of no matter how much more you pump, it just doesn't add up to much! I can pump 2 or 3 times a day and the difference is like, 1 oz -__-

And I totally understand how you want to just go for this last stretch and not give her any formula... But if you are not able to add to the stash then you might have to!

Unless you want to look into having a local mom donate some to you? I see that happen here and there in my local moms group. Tho the irrational part of be would rather just give formula..

Next Friday, DH and I will be away from our girls for the first time overnight. I am so looking forward to it but I'm also getting stressed that despite my best attempts I have not been able to add to my measly stash. Just this morning I had to bust into one out of my 2 bags. :( which means I have 4 oz in the freezer now.

I'm pumping twice a day at work and before bed. I'm pumping just enough for her daycare bottles the next day. I keep hoping pumping nightly through the weekend will give me an extra bag to freeze. But every Friday I have an issue and need the weekend to catch back up for Monday.
I'll be away from her for about 36 hours and will need about 25 ounces. I'm thinking of adding a lunch time session tomorrow and all next week. But I'm not holding my breath that will increase my total output for the day. My boobs just don't work that way!
She's 11 months and I suspect might have be lactose intolerant. She hasn't had formula since she was a few days old and a crazy selfish part of me really wanted to finish it out without giving any more. But I'm also afraid she won't take it since she hasn't had any.

What would you do? Offer soy milk? Formula? Tell her caregiver to up the solids? She definitely needs some kind of formula / milk supplement to my breastmilk....
