Didn't vote because there's no option for me. We get 2x OR the option for pto. After we work our OT shift we fill out our form for approval and check whether we want it banked or paid out.

I've been salaried for a long time so I get nothing. I guess with the level I'm at though, my boss is very flexible too if I ever have doctor appointments, need to come in late/leave early, etc so I can't really complain about OT when it happens!

I get nothing extra for working overtime. Overtime is kind of just required when you own the business you work for!

Our guys get time and a half or the option of more vacation hours when they work overtime. They are salaried and we just tack on the extra pay on their next paycheck.

I am salaried and we get comp time here. I worked 2.5 days in overtime last week (talk about horrible!) so I took one day of comp time on Friday and I will have another day and a half to use at some point.

At my last job I didn't get anything for working overtime.

I'm sales/commission.. so nothing!

DH gets time and a half or double time on Sundays.. he get pick if he wants paid out or bank the time for vacation. It's still the time and a half or double time rate though if he banks it.. so if he works 12 hours on a Sunday he can used 24 hours of vacation. But typically he gets paid out because he has lots of vacation time.

In my old job I was salaried, and either could take comp time within the same biweekly period (it didn't matter when I worked 80 hours as long as I put in all 80), take comp time informally with supervisor's permission but not on the timesheet, or just got nothing

Salaried, so nada. Unless, a major project comes up that we know in advance will take overtime hours to get done on time. We get that sort of overtime paid out, but it has to be approved ahead of time. I've never been in that situation.

Since I am a contract employee, if I book more than 40 hours in a week, I have to get paid at time and half, so I do not work more than 40 hours.

When I was salaried and working in the US, if I earned the same paycheck every week (more or less) regardless of how many hours I worked. We did though, get to take a day off during the week if we had to work the weekend.

How does your work handle OT? Do you get paid straight pay or 1.5x? Does it go towards PTO?

This is my first time putting in some OT and I'm not sure what they do! I'd rather accumulate PTO right now. ;)
