Straw cups all leak. We did zoli and lola and she chewed the straws. Hated the foogo, broke immediately. We do pura and klean kanteen.

Skip hop ones are cute and easy and I don't have them leak.

We've tried a bunch of ones because DS spits water when drinking and I thought maybe different ones would limit it a bit. Nope. He just loves to spit!

@CakeLady: no it doesn't! It's leak proof, as long as you don't put it in the dishwasher (takes two seconds to clean though). I think it relies on the stiff plastic to stay leak proof. Honestly I wish I found those cups forever ago. Plus it helps them get the hang of an open cup.

@CakeLady: good idea!

My two cents: we got Zoli but it was hard to clean, Skip Hop are cute and only two parts, tommie yippie are good but annoying to put together (DH whines about it)

@Mrs Green Grass: I'll think I pick a few from the list to try!
@littlejoy: @QBbride: if your kiddo throws the wow cup on the floor does it splatter? The munchkin 360 does...
@Foodnerd81: @littlejoy: @lady grey: can you reuse the take n toss/throw n go cups?

@regberadaisy: yes, we use the Wow cup exclusively for milk. The top splits into two pieces and then just the cup part. No tricky valves or anything to clean. Super easy!!

Foogo for milk on the go, take and toss w/ straw for drinks at home. Have used zoli and lollacup but both leak, so I switched to the simple (easy to clean) take and toss at home.

My personal favorite is the thinkster by think baby. Haven't had leaking issues with milk or water. I like that everything comes apart for cleaning and you can buy replacement straws and spouts!
I'm using the Zoli right now with the baby for water. Only because it's smaller than the TB so easier for her small hands etc. but the thing leaks like a b!tch if you don't screw the lid on just right. But since it's just water, not a big deal. I definitely won't be using it when she starts milk!

@QBbride: @littlejoy: does the wow cup come apart completely for cleaning? @qbride did you try it with milk yet?

@Charm54: how long have you used the vital baby cup and have you used it with milk?

We used to have the Zoli but it always leaked and when I took it apart I discovered mould :shocked:

I like the "Wow cup" and the playtex playtime cups, neither of them leak and they don't have a lot of parts to clean.

Zoli is great for water (but leaks for everything else). It was the easiest for her to learn from

I also like the Munchkin click lock... But my absolutel favourite is the Vital Baby straw cup...no leaks, easy to put together, and easy for her to drink from. I've bought a bunch of them!!

I like the cheap throw and go cups for at-home use. For on-the-go, we really like the Wow cup. We don't do milk though (just water), so I'm not sure if milk would make it funky ... it does come apart for thorough cleaning though.

The playtex one sold now no longer has the section to squeeze and is very difficult for our LO to drink from. He likes this cup: http://m.toysrus.com/skava/static/product.html?type=TRU_product_us&url=%2Fproduct%2Findex.jsp%3FproductId%3D35407836%26cagpspn%3Dplab_18583407%26camp%3DPLAPPCG-_-PID18583407%3ABRUS%26eESource%3DCAPLA_DF%3A35407836%3ATRUS&domain=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.toysrus.com&productId=35407836&cagpspn=plab_18583407&camp=PLAPPCG-_-PID18583407:BRUS&eESource=CAPLA_DF:35407836:TRUS

We did water in the Zoli cup to get LO used to the idea of a straw cup and then bought a few different types and he loves the munchkin click tight ones.

I tried sippy cups but he felt like I was tricking him out of a bottle so we gave that up fast.

I would just get one and see if you like it. Going straight to straw is simplest, but it didn't work for us because Lo didn't drink enough volume (and is small). For straw cups, the biggest different is how many pieces you have to clean/how hard it is to put together...

We went straight to straw cups.

The only ones I have found that don't leak are the Foogo (thermos) and I use Contigo bottles for water (I think the style is Striker).

At home we use take and toss cups for milk- usually the straw top but lately she wants the sippy top.

To start we used the playtex lol gripper- it had a squeezy section in the cup so you can squeeze water up the straw- once we did that a few times she understood the concept.

for home: the lollacup for milk/smoothies, zolicup for water.

We are just starting to transition DS to WCM. Our pediatrician said it was fine to stick with bottles a little longer, but I'd like to start trying to give him milk in a cup sooner rather than later.

We have been doing water in. Munchkin 360 cup for a while and DS does well with it, but he likes to throw it on the floor and play with it upside down. It also leaks in the diaper bag. Not such a big deal with water, not good with milk. I've done some research but there are so many choices and no clear winner...

Any suggestions for which cup(s) to try?
