I'll add my two cents, too. After my first miscarriage (natural at 4 w), I ovulated pretty early for me (CD 14-15 as opposed to 18-19). I got pregnant again that cycle, and miscarried the second baby naturally at 6 weeks. I ovulated the next cycle at CD 18, which is very normal for me. My temps were overall lower after the first m/c, but returned to normal (for me, about 96.8-97.0 before O) on the cycle after my second m/c.

I had a natural mc at 7 weeks. Counting the mc as CD1, I ovulated at CD17 which is pretty normal for me. My temps were higher than pre mc. My mc cycle wasn't too wacky, but LP was short. It had been short before though. I conceived again on the third cycle post mc.

Just bc I find this thread interesting, what to add my experience: had 8w miscarriage requiring D&C, and about 4 weeks later, started spotting - that never turned into a period - I spotted for over 8 weeks and took progesterone to help sort out my body. Finally got a normal period at 14 weeks post D&C. Seems like I'm gearing up to O at my normal time of CD 20-21, although everything else has been very not normal for me.

@spaniellove: @TheSwissWifeStyle: I am going to have to temp next cycle.

My period came back early after the procedure (3 weeks) but now I'm on day 31 and think I may have just ovulated based on CM and some left side pains.

Mine was totally normal, and my m/c happened during week 5. It was almost like the m/c was a period (at least on my calendar). The next cycle, however, was 12 days longer than my average ... The next (which resulted in a BFP) was about 8 days shorter than the average. Without charting, I would have had no clue as to what was happening.

I know I felt relieved once I ovulated that first time. I hope your body is getting back on track!!

@TheSwissWifeStyle: I wouldn't have known if I didn't temp b/c the other signs were there! But it's kind of a relief to start over since they say that first cycle after isn't supposed to be a real cycle.

I ended up getting my first period after the m/c at 20 days out. It seemed like my body was trying to ovulate and then gave up and bled instead. Hopefully this next cycle I'll have a better clue what's going on since it'll be monitored by my RE!

I was seriously JUST going to start a thread a out this, too!

today I started my 2nd cycle since m/c. My first period after the natural m/c bleed was 28 days-ish, with O on CD 12 (as best i can guess since its hard to tell when I actually started that cycle...). Second cycle was 24 days with O around CD 18. My cycles are usually around 30-32 days with O around CD 16, so I have no idea what's going on, but I hope I'm back to normal soon since we are starting to try again this cycle!

It took 8 weeks to get my first period after my miscarriage. The second was 5 weeks after that. I got my BFP in the next cycle. Everything was so weird those three months. I had no clue what my body was doing.

I had my m/c at 5 weeks and I'm not entirely sure I ovulated the "cycle" after. I bled exactly on time though. It was weird. Then I got a BFP the following cycle so I believe it's true that you are more fertile after a m/c.

I didn't track in anyway right after my mc but I did hear from lots of folks (maybe on here? I can't remember) that women are very fertile after a miscarriage. I'll be interested if anyone else says that or if I'm nuts..

I know they say not to expect to O right after a m/c, and I'm not expecting to. But 10 days out (after a 6w6d natural m/c) I'm having the worst O pains! I usually barely get them or not at all.

I've been temping just for kicks, and my temps are normal pre-O temps although I don't think my HCG is down to 0 yet - Wondfo is still showing a shadow.

Other than timing, was your first ovulation after a loss weird at all?
