@mrskansas: Dr. did a pap smear, but says if that comes back okay then we'll work under the assumption it's just my body getting it together after two years of no period. Her recommendation was to wait it out a bit and then try birth control to jumpstart my hormones if I'm still having problems. I'm okay with this plan, as we're not planning to TTC anytime soon.

@mrskansas: I'd probably go see an other OB for a second opinion. It doesn't sound very normal. And you should feel reassured after a doctor's visit.

@knittylady: I haven't ovulated, they saw no mature/dominant follicles and I have "free fluid" in my uterus and cervix so I have no idea what that means. I didn't even see my OB, she just reviewed the pictures from the sono and said everything was fine.
I'm really frustrated. Obviously everything isn't fine if I'm mid-cycle and show no signs of ovulation and I'm bleeding. I'm not sure what to do.

I always have ovulation pain. Last month it was like three days! This week, yesterday in fact, I felt an increase in cervical mucus and noticed spotting. Today, ewcm and ovulation pain. BUT it's all 5 days earlier than normal. I'm still nursing but slowly weaning. I've never had ovulation bleeding before.

@mrskansas: I stopped breastfeeding 2.5 months ago, and got my period 2 weeks later. The next cycle I had bloating and cramping during ovulation, but no spotting and a normal cycle length. This cycle I had the same ovulation symptoms plus I started spotting and spotted on and off (mostly brown and just with wiping, but with a few red gushes) until I got my period on day 23. I have no idea what's going on, but I'm guessing it's my hormones getting back in the swing of things/adjusting after almost 2 years of not having a period due to pregnancy and nursing.

I have my annual exam next week, so I will definitely ask the doctor. I hope you get answers tomorrow!

I usually have ovulation pains. It feels kind of crampy on one side off and on throughout the day. It was a great way to be able to confirm the patterns I was seeing with opks and temps. I've never had ovulation spotting, but I remember some others on POAS boards in the past mentioning it. It sounds like your timing was awesome :goodluck: :goodluck:

You guys are making me feel way better about this. I still think the spotting is odd but according to Dr. Google it's completely normal & due to either the follicle rupturing or the sharp rise in Estrogen. We did BD 3x on Saturday so I guess it could have been from that too? I've never had spotting with sex though so that would be new.

I had been getting crazy bloating and discomfort with ovulation. Last cycle I threw up the day of ovulation (only once then just felt exhausted the rest of the day). No spotting but there was some intense pain. I conceived that cycle so good luck!

@winniebee: I was just really surprised that is lasted as long as it did. I think I cramped on and off for 5 or 6 hours yesterday. The cramping did stop after one really sharp pain, so maybe that was actual ovulation?
I told my husband that if I end up pregnant there better be 2 in there with all the discomfort I experienced!

Morning ladies!
Sorry for all the posts from me lately, but I am confused/concerned about what is going on with my body.

So Saturday morning I got an almost positive OPK and by that evening it was very faint again. Sunday morning I woke up to brown spotting that continued throughout the day although it was very scant. It turned pink last night and is back to brown this morning (it’s only noticeable when I wipe, not enough for a pad).

Yesterday I also had quite a bit of cramping on my left side throughout the day and occasional sharp pains.

I have never experienced ovulation bleeding or cramping before, so for those that have experienced this, does it sound like ovulation to you or should I call my doctor? I’m very cautious of what’s going on with my body after an ectopic in October followed by a miscarriage in December. And yes, my first thought when I started spotting & cramping was to take a pregnancy test to rule that out. I’ve also ovulated & had a period since my MC and didn’t experience this.
