I also have tons of cramps today, so I'm generally confused. I think I'll wait until the normal 29 days before testing.

@kiddosc usually 29 days, typically ovulating CD16. There have been a few outliers but never as early as FF is guessing and I don't think I've had a cycle longer than 31 days.
I thought about going with the temp taken at the usual time, but it was with less sleep than required and I don't know which is more important!

@MrsDragon: If you put in 36.6 for yesterday's temp, then I would think you ovulated on CD16... which would coincide with your crampy feeling. How long are your cycles typically?

Yesterday I woke up an hour earlier than usual, which was the temp drop -- I temped again at the usual time, but with only an hour of sleep, and the temperature was 36.6 so would have been above the coverline. I went with the low temp, though.

@kiddosc I haven't seen any other noticeable CM -- what was marked on the chart was scant, too, but that was the last of it. I was feeling ovulation pains (cramping, tenderness, etc.) at CD15 but have also been under lots of stress so maybe it was delayed?

@MrsDragon: I had really inconsistent wake times and was able to chart successfully. I would often wake up an hour early or late and didn't even bother marking open circles since they nearly all would have been open. For some people, it can make a huge difference in temps, but for others it really doesn't and you will still see a clear temp shift.

As for your chart, did you keep checking CM later into the month? I would say it's possible you ovulated yesterday. Some people will have a temp drop the day of ovulation.

Thanks! It's definitely a challenge to do things all at the same time, but last month it still showed a clear shift. I was going off of FF's FAQ saying it could still work, but maybe I'm just not getting the consistency I need!

I may move on to OPKs in a cycle or two, if we aren't successful - or just abandon it altogether and hope we get the timing right without using anything.

All those open circles means it isn't accurate, unfortunately. Given your cm Id say you ovulated cd 15. But you probably ought to rely on OPKs if you can't temp at a consistent time.

I agree with @LAZB: it wouldn't be accurate unless you are Temping using the guidelines.

I wouldn't really take your chart too seriously to be honest. If you can't temp at the same time with uninterrupted sleep, then it is really not a good tool to use. It looks like you have way more open circles than closed ones, so not really accurate. Could you start using OPKs instead?

My chart temps are wonky between a sleepless toddler and my husband waking me up when he has early shifts -- I try to temp around the same time but all of the open circles are from sleep deprivation/temping an hour or two off of my usual time.

That being said, I usually ovulate around CD16 -- and so I ignored the dotted crosshairs, because everything else felt and seemed like that would still be the case. Then on the day that it would have confirmed I had this big drop, and today, a giant spike. Any insight? I have no idea if/when I ovulated!
