@AlyB25: AH! But I also have those pains throughout the month! They can only officially diagnose you by surgery, because they have to see it. Based on my symptoms and other issues, they were "sure" I had it, but we decided not to have the surgery. They were able to see the PCOS on US.

@AlyB25: No problem! I get them most when I am ovulating, but I do get them other times during the month sometimes. I have PCOS and endometriosis, so I am in a lot of pain a lot of the time! The way I described my feelings to my Dr was like a stabbing pain in my ovaries. During sex, it feels like DH's penis is jabbing my ovaries (sorry if TMI). Or another way to describe it is like my ovaries being ripped out of place.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions!

@Rosie Girl: Thanks for your input! Maybe i will mention this to my doctor just to be safe...do you have these pains during the entire month or just during ovulation? what does your endometriosis feel like and what are your symptoms? if you don't mind me asking :)

I have had that, but I do have endometriosis... so I don't know if I am the best one to ask! I have always had those pains though. Certain positions are very painful, and others are better. I would talk to you dr just to make sure, but I don't think it is completely not normal. I would try to find a position that doesn't hurt as bad too, and maybe not go as deep.

I was wondering if anyone else had this or if this is something that is not normal...

when my husband and I have sex at any other time of the month, it does not hurt, but on the day I am ovulating, BDing hurts pretty bad. i can always tell when i am ovulating because on that day i get a stabbing pain near my ovaries and then the next day it is gone. this month, we BD'd 2 times on ovulation day and I could honestly feel a sharp stabbing pain in my ovaries, especially on the left side and during certain positions....does anyone else experience this or is this not normal/something I need to be concerned about? Of course I googled it, and google came up with things like "pelvic inflammatory disease" and "endometriosis" so I started freaking out. But it doesn't happen at any other time of the month, so I don't know...
