It sounds like you could be experiencing mittelschmerz!

I always felt a pinch on the side I ovulated from, and sometimes had spotting.

@MamaMoose: Fortunately, I don't experience period cramps so I'm not sure if that's what I'm actually feeling and it isn't gnawing pain...

@chopsuey119: Mine has been on the same side these past two months too! Hm...

@winniebee: My ovulation pain sounds just like yours, period-like pains for a day around the time of ovulation.

My pains nearly always lined up with ovulation according to my charts.

My ovulation pain is usually a pinch where my ovaries are! Usually just one side.

Mine only lasted a few hours and was near my hipbone, but I've heard that it can be very different from woman to woman, so it could be. Start BD - that way you have your bases covered!

Sounds like it could be! I had consistent ovulation pains every month. Basically felt like period cramps to me (for a whole day!) and it always coincided with a positive OPK!

My ovulation pain usually only lasts a few hours. So lasting 5 days seems like a long time. And mine is like a sharp twinge. A "pinch-cramp" as chopsuey put it on another thread. I wouldn't call it a gnawing pain.

The hubby and I decided to TTC last month, but due to a out of town bachelorette party, we had to officially start TTC this month. Last month, I felt this constant gnawing pain in the left side of my stomach (near my rib cage). It started on Monday and got progressively stronger until Friday, which happened to be the day I ovulated.

This morning, I started getting the pain again similar to last month. According to the prediction charts, I should be ovulating on Monday. Is what I'm feeling ovulation cramps/pains? If not, suggestions on what it may be?
