@cavalierkcs: I use the ones from Amazon and they are actually pretty easy to use. I find that if you watch it and the test line fills in before the control line, you are pretty close to getting a positive. I'd also suggest testing twice a day (every 12 hours). If I didn't test twice a day, I'd totally miss my surge (and positive) since I've got a quick one.

I used the regular Clear Blue ones, not digital. I was charting though, and used them to confirm.

I did what @spaniellove: suggested. Wondfos since they're cheaper and I can test twice a day without guilt, then use a digital to confirm.

To be honest I used them for 6 months religiously and the month I didn't get a positive and I was certain I didn't even ovulate I ended up pregnant. So, I don't hold as much hope in them as I use to.
I do hope they work for anyone who uses them but that wasn't the case for me.

This might be overkill but I found it helpful to use Wondfos to see the progression (I figured out how to tell if I was getting close to O) and since sometimes a positive Wondfo is hard to interpret, I'd break out the CB digital OPK only when I thought I had a positive.

I use Wondfos from Amazon and test when I get home from work which usually isn't until 8-8:30pm.

I use the ones from Amazon, the Wondfos, and haven't had a problem. I test when I get home from work, around 4 and I read somewhere that you should test in the afternoon around 2-4. I have had positive results at like 10 pm, I have never had a positive result in the morning.

Thanks ladies. I just got the cheap ones from Amazon so I'll test those out and see.

@pui - that is awesome that it pinpointed O! Sending babydust your way too!!

@smurfette - Hadn't heard about waiting a few hours so not to dilute. Will totally give that a shot.

I used them. Spend the extra money on digitalis. So worth it. The control lines are hard to tell sometimes. I always tested when leaving work at 430. I wouldn't drink or pee after 1, so the urine wouldn't be diluted.

I started doing OPKs this cycle and I guess I had a success since they definitely helped me pin point O! :)

OPKs are pretty simple. It is recommended NOT to use your morning pee like a pregnancy test. I used mine when I came home from work at 5:30 and that worked fine for me!

I just used cheap ones I bought online (from makeababy.ca) They can be a little hard to decipher... I had a few that I thought might be positive but ended up not being. when I got my positive OPK it was very obviously positive!

Good luck and baby dust!

I liked the digital kits best!

My REs office told me to test at 6:45am but I always tested negative then. I only tested positive in the afternoon.

Has any one out there has had any success with or have any advice for using ovulation predictor tests? I read somewhere that taking the test in early evening is most accurate.

We're still new at TTC but I figure anything could help (and these OPKs seem simple enough). :-)
