@mrsjd: Yeah no kidding. If it were a few days later I'd be excited about possible implantation bleeding. But this is too early for that, so it's just confusing! I'm probably going to obsess about it all day!

@Shizaz: It totally freaked me out when it happened too. But I'm sure you're fine.

I always hated when I had midcycle spotting because it's like, dang body, like I needed another symptom to obsess over! So cruel.

@mrsjd: I wasn't checking CM or anything. I went pee, and got up and was about to flush but as I glanced in the toilet, I saw the toilet paper looked a bit pinkish, so I wiped again and it was definitely pink. I just went a few minutes ago again and it's still there although it's only when I wipe, I don't seem to need a liner or anything.

I will keep an eye out and hopefully it won't get heavier. It's a bit alarming as this never happens! But good to know that it can be normal.

Did you check your CM and then spot? Or was the spotting just from peeing? Sorry to be blunt. That's happened to me before (I have a sensitive cervix I think)

I've also had mid-cycle spotting in other circumstances and mine has not been correlative of ovulation - I actually had some before I ovulated this past cycle where I got pregnant. I was on clomid so I know I didn't ovulate until after.

That's all to say, that mid-cycle spotting can be normal. As long as it doesn't become heavier, my doctor just said not to worry about it.

I have always had ovulation spotting. It usually came a few days after my positive OPK. Just very light & usually only appeared for a couple wipes. Never so much I needed a tampon/pad.
Good luck to you.

@Shizaz: I think a few women on here have had ovulation spotting - there was another thread on this recently I'll see if I can find it.

@winniebee: Interesting. Sorry you ended up losing it though. I'll see how things go and maybe I'll end up taking a test tonight or tomorrow.

I did do about a half hour of yoga last night before bed, maybe the increased blood flow caused it. It's just weird because I've never had spotting at this point before.

@Shizaz: Seems really unlikely, too. But I once got pregnant on CD5 sex. I had a period and 2 weeks later started spotting. I had no idea I was pregnant. A friend encouraged me to take a test, and it was positive  I lost the pregnancy, but it goes to show that it CAN happen. That was literally the only possible conception date.

@winniebee: No, I took one on Christmas Eve at 12 or 13 dpo and it was negative, then AF showed up the next day. I don't think I would be pregnant because I had AF, and I felt the ovulation pains the other night as I do every other cycle. I have a few cheap ones at home, I suppose I could take it. But I don't know, it seems unlikely.

Hi everyone. This morning I noticed a bit of spotting after going to the washroom. I'm only 2dpo at the most - I had a positive opk during the day Monday, by the evening I felt the pains. The pains lasted until last night. This morning I noticed the spotting. I am also having some slight cramps in my lower abdomen but I thought it was just gas.

I've never had ovulation spotting before, so this totally threw me. It's nothing to be alarmed about?
