She is such a great baby to put to sleep (naps, bedtime), lay her awake, zip up sleep sack, she rolls to her side (side sleeper since week like two!!) paci in, eyes closed, and gone. Sometimes she cries a little, then konks out.

It's just staying asleep, especially later through the night that's going to be the death of me. I don't need a ton of sleep, just some, lol.

@babynumber1: never swaddled, she hated it! We use Dr. Brown's paci's. Hmm about trying something different. It wouldn't really solve her yanking it out and whipping it no matter the brand, and she can't put it back in yet.

@mediagirl: we lay her in crib (awake), put paci in, and she falls asleep on her own.....

@NerdBee: thank-you for link!!

@hilsy85: the rolling has only just begun (last day, if she's on her back, she rolls within moments, only rolling before was fluke I think) and so I'm not sure because she can she's doing it constantly, so I just wasn't sure if we should be rolling her back or leaving her? She doesn't seem to mind it (we've found her sleeping on her tummy) but when she loses the paci or wakes without it, look out..... Bah :(

We went through this also. When she was able to find her paci's it got MUCH better, almost overnight. We still keep 5 paci's in her crib.

Which pacis do you use? We use the Nuk and they seem to work better, she keeps them in her mouth better, and they are easy for her to pick up.

We have a video monitor and can see when she is just rooting around for a paci vs needing us for something.

I think it was around 5.5-6 months when we really saw a drastic difference. Are you still swaddling?

How does she fall asleep? I found when we made M fall asleep in her crib (not in our arms) it ended up helping her overall night sleep. She went from 5 wakeups a night to 1. Serious. I was amazed.

Yikes! Sorry to hear that you're suffering from sleep deprivation. I don't have experience with this problem as my LO refused to take a pacifier but here's an article on pacifier weaning that you might find helpful: http://www.troublesometots.com/how-to-use-and-loose-the-pacifier/

Have you tried letting her sleep on her tummy for naps to see how it goes? If she can roll easily, then I think tummy sleeping is safe. Hugs mama!

I'm dyin'.

Some good nights (one a week?) otherwise am up 3, 4, 5 to 10+ time a night (10+ last night, I laid a pillow on floor in her room and just laid there at one point)

Before it was just pop the paci back in and go back to bed til next time. She's found her hands (more her hands have found her paci) and she takes it out, but can't put it back in. And now she's rolling, a rolling machine, do we let her sleep on her belly (she will) or move her back? So it went from one reason to put paci in (just falling out sometime in night) to her taking it out sometimes too and now it rolling out when she rolls.

I love her, but man I am tired today.

I want to try CIO. DH will likely be opposed and I'm just not sure where to start or if there is a middle ground between paci and CIO? She feeds once (sometimes twice) in the night, and I have no issue aaaaat all with 1-2 times a night waking for food.

She is 4.5 months.
