She's almost 18 months and pretty addicted to her paci, but only gets it in the crib. </p> <p>Well, we snipped the tip off the end a couple days ago and it hasn't been going terrible. A few whiny cries on and off for about an hour, but nothing too bad. She did miss her nap yesterday, but today she took one. </p> <p>Well, I was so thrilled hoping it was working, but our sitter just texted me that she found her thumb! She has NEVER touched her thumb before (for sucking). I thought if you weaned this late it was unlikely they would go to the thumb because they technically don't need the sucking anymore. Am I crazy? Should I give the paci back? I would like to avoid the thumb sucking if possible. </p> <p>Anyone have thoughts or experience with this? </p>
