@kayla0416: that’s a good idea to put 2 in the way back and fold down a middle seat! I’m new to this whole idea of seats that move!

I got a 2017 Pacifica a little over a year ago and I love it! We have 3 kids under 5, so 3 carseats. We have the older two in the third row, in a Graco Nautilus and forward facing Extend2Fit (but was rear-facing until a few months ago). We have the youngest in the middle row passenger side in a rear-facing Extend2Fit, and the middle row driver side folded down into the stow-n-go area. I love having all that open space in the middle to easily climb in and buckle them all, and also to just carry all our stuff. We live in ND so we bring bags of outdoor winter gear back and forth to daycare each week and it's nice to just throw them in the middle and not have to open the trunk every time.

We drive on ice/snow a lot so we got snow tires for ours. I would say that with the regular tires, it did not handle driving on ice very well, so that might be a consideration for you as well.

My only real complaint is that I hear a lot of wind/road noise while driving. It seems like it might not be sealed very well? But where we live it's VERY windy a lot of the time, so that might not matter to you. If we have 15+ mph winds, it's so noisy that I struggle to hear what my kids in the 3rd row are saying. This might be the case for all vans though - not sure on that.

@ChitownRo: what seat(s) do you have the second row? We tried our frontier and the headrest was in the way of a tight install but I’ve read others may fit better. Cheaper to buy a new seat than an odyssey!

And yes I’m so excited for a true minivan! We have a mazda5 which is kind of a micro van - we’ve been driving cross country stuffed into it, all 5 of us and our stuff - and the space in the van made me giddy :silly:

We just got a 2020 pacifica and love it. We haven't noticed those issues bc we have carseats in the second row and my DS7 in a booster in the 3rd row. He's honestly just so happy to be out of a 5 point harness that he's thrilled with a seatbelt.

I think it handles much better than the Odyssey (though not a fair comparison bc we had a 2012). I love the stow-n-go seats, the tech package with blind spot warnings etc, built in wifi and giant sunroof.

If you are new to minivan life - you will love it! :)

Found some old posts, but who has a Pacifica and what do you like/dislike? We’re looking at gently used and I just test drove a 2018. Overall I liked it a lot (I think it drives similarly to my current vehicle) but my two major complaints were second row headrests not coming out and third row belts cutting into necks a bit (which will be a problem since my oldest is 9 and we’ll keep it past her being in a booster with the strap adjuster). The belt didn’t fit correctly on my mom who is 5’5”. The other thing we’re looking into is a new 2020 odyssey to save a bit there on model year (used doesn’t seem worth it on that model) and the price difference is so huge, trying to decide what is worth it. Thank you!!
