I second the nose frieda! The boogers don't ever have a chance to make contact with you so the gross factor is a little less if it freaks you out.

@charlotte: Try taking a hot bath and bringing him in with you. The steam will help him with his stuffy nose. Saline spray also helps to loosen up the mucus. And if you're not grossed out by it, the Nose Frida snot sucker works wonders! My little one is just getting over her cold (she's 6 weeks) and those are the things that worked for us.

Yep, LO is now obsessed with his pacifier. The upside is that instead of taking 30 minutes to put him down for his nap, it takes 10. The downside is that that 10 minutes is spent constantly shoving the paci back in his mouth after it falls out and he loudly protests. Sigh.

update. he sounds raspy when he sleeps and had a little mucus come out of his nose. i think he has a cold. luckily we already have a pedi appointment for tomorrow. i am thinking last night he wasn't feeling good and just needed comfort. poor little guy. i am so mad at myself for letting so many extended family and friends hold him the last 2 weeks. its so hard to say no and not feel like a total B. but that is a topic for another post.

thanks for your support last night though! made me feel better that i was not alone in the up-all-night club.

So, it is 245 here and LO and I haven't slept. He is almost 2 wks old. All was well until we gave him a pacifier this wkend. Now he is obsessed! He won't stop fussing tonight if I don't let him have it but if I do put it in his mouth it falls out every 10 minutes. What do I do?!?! The most frustrating part is there was no need to give it this wkend. He was happy and waking every 3 hrs on schedule to nurse. Now he seems so unhappy. :( and I'm exhausted.
