We use a pnp, but if I was offered a cosleeper I'd take it. The pnp works fine, but it'd be nice to be able to just reach over and feed LO or hug him if I want to. Also, LO is about to outgrow the bassinet part of the pnp at 3.5 months. It goes up to 15lbs. Not sure about the weight limit on the cosleeper.

I bought an Arm's Reach Mini at a consignment sale and loved it. I liked that it had the one side open so I could see her pretty well and even put a hand on her while she was sleeping. Since it was the mini it was also smaller than a P&P so fit in our bedroom better. That being said, we did still purchase a P&P to use when traveling once she got older and could sit up since the AR was no longer big enough or safe.

We didn't get a PnP, but we did get the Arms Reach. We LOVED it and I definitely think you should borrow it. At the very least, if you don't like it, you can give it back.

LO used the Arms Reach for about 3.5-4 months. It was great, because I felt like he was too little for true co-sleeping, so it was a great way to keep him close for me. Now he's older (6 months) and splits his nights between the crib and our bed. The co-sleeper doubles as a "play yard", so we have it set up in the living room now.

We are using the PnP but I'd definitely want to try the Arms Reach if we didn't have to pay for it! Just give it a shot and see if LO likes it, as long as it's free.

If the co-sleeper works with your bed then its worth a shot! I've heard mixed things from co-sleeping mommies about it... Some love it & others felt it was a waste of funds (since its kinda pricey). I think it would be great for not having to get completely up though to tend to bebe!

We used the pnp bassinet until P could get on her hands & knees.. It worked great for us & second as a storage (the stuff we had under our bed went under the bassinet insert when we moved our mattresses to the floor). I did loathe trying to break it down when we moved though so I doubt we use it again. Lol

@grizz: For me, Arm's Reach was better for late-night feeds (I breastfeed so it was a lifesaver for me not to have to get out of the bed) and diaper changes. It was also great because I had a c-section, so it was easier for me to pick up LO.

The Pack n Play will work, too, though. But is definitely a great option for ILs.

If you can borrow the co-sleeper I definitely would! The pack n play is really low so would be much harder to put LO down in.

We will be keeping the baby in our room for a few months and have a pack n play, but my co-worker offered me her Arms Reach co-sleeper as well. Are there pros and cons to each? I'm thinking about using the co-sleeper and letting my ILs keep the pack n play at their house.
