It was the middle of the day and I was at home and saw her on our steps and then in her driveway with the box. We got tons and tons of calls about stolen packages. It's sad.</p> <p>We always had to tell the customer to check with the shipper first, and sometimes we would have to call FedEx ourselves. Sometimes the delivery man would just put the package in a really random spot -- trying to hide it so that it wouldn't get stolen. I was expecting a package but no one came by (no doorbell) until in the evening when LO was eating dinner the doorbell rang. I looked outside and was a bit skeptical because it was a woman. I opened the door and she said she has my package and I was like uh....? She went to her car (there were two kids inside her car that she was talking to) and got an opened package out. It has my stuff in it. She said they were in a park and saw a few boxes gathered. All of them is emptied except mine.. Which contained children books, a children lunch box, some body cream for babies and what not. Apparently the person who took these boxes didn't want kids' stuff. She said she felt bad that a mother is waiting for these things so she took the box and follow the address and come back to give it to me. She saw that I was very skeptical and she even called her two kids to come out and say hi to me. I was very thankful to her.... I keep telling them that there's absolutely no one around to steal it so it's perfectly safe but they plain refuse and then I have to waste my time not only setting up a redelivery but also waiting around for a couple of hours at home so I can be there when it arrives. Ridiculous! I live in a gated community (condos) but the digital buzzer is kind of complicated so sometimes the delivery people will note that "customer was not home" when I am home pretty much all day. I've had that happen to both UPS and FEDEX deliveries. My cell phone number is listed on the package so I don't know why they won't call for help. I ended up leaving a note to ask all tenants of the building to please help each other out by moving packages when they saw them into the lobby behind the locked doors, and that helped a lot. I had some jeans I ordered online go missing...but apparently they weren't the right size for the thief because they ended up back at our building with the packaging ripped open. At least I got it back, but so annoying. My husband is really paranoid of it happening at our current place because there is lots of foot traffic that goes by our building. Luckily UPS/FedEx can get into our building now. </p>
