We have a bentgo and like it for snacky type lunches since there are many compartments. However, I bought some bento boxes from Ikea that I really like to. They have 3 separate compartments that work if we go the sandwich, fruit, veggie route that DS1 likes. We put them in the PBK lunch box with a freezer pack.

@LemonJack: Same here, but because I can't return the lunchbag, I'm only using lunchboxes that fit. Which was a bummer b/c I wanted to try the Yumbox/Bentgo!

Lunchbots are my favorite because of the size. They fit in a standard kid lunch box with room to include something else (juice or milk box, kid size water bottle, or even a thermos). I was nervous it would be hard to open but it isn’t at all. You can’t really do liquids in it but that wasn’t an issue for us because things like apple sauce or yogurt we just do single serve for lunch.

I use the SugarBooger bentos. They’re simple (3 compartments) and wouldn’t be good for liquids/dips, but that’s not an issue for me because I can always subdivide with additional small containers or silicone/paper cups/liners. They fit in all the lunchboxes we have had (SkipHop, PackIt, PB Kids, and Justice).

ETA: I put them in the dishwasher and they’ve lasted years!

We have the yumbox panino. We've been using it all summer to practice with and I really like it. No leaks, DD can easily open and close it, and nice to only have one container to deal with. We have the packit lunch bag, which can fit the yumbox, a drink, and a snack if needed. I hand wash bit know many people who put them in the dishwasher without issue.

Rubbermaid lunchblox were just on sale at Walmart so I bought some. And I found some at the dollar store for cheap. School doesn’t start until September, so I haven’t used them yet.

We have the Yumbox, and I like it a lot. We only have one so every night I hand wash and dry it before packing the next day’s lunch, which is kind of a hassle, I love the different sections, I like that it’s all one container, and also it’s cute. I put it in a zippered lunch bag with his snacks in separate containers and an ice pack.

This will be our first year packing lunch, but we have both a Yumbox and a Bentgo box. We ordered a classic sized pottery barn lunch bag and they didn’t really fit in there, so we had to go slightly larger.

We used the two boxes over summer for summer school lunches, and neither of them leaked. I like them a lot so far.

We’re still using yumbox - I think I got my first in 2013 now we have several! I wash the trays in the dishwasher but hand wash or wipe out the cover. The trays won’t come out dry so you can’t immediately reuse - I just have extra trays. It fits in the skip hop zoo lunchie and now I put it in a packit for the oldest. Got our first panino style this year to fit a full sandwich but kids really prefer the smaller compartments still.

We use the sistema ones and I’ve had the same ones for YEARS and they’ve never broken or leaked. I’m wondering if the one you had was just faulty.
We also use the bentgo box sometimes. I like it but it doesn’t fit perfectly into his lunchbox so I’m so so on it.

What containers does everyone use? I was using Rubbermaid lunchblox and I liked those but I can’t find them anymore (i saw the ones on amazon with the ice pack) but I wanted the ones with no ice pack that the containers just stacked

I’ve used a sistema one piece cube but that broke quickly and there was a similar ALDI cube I tried but the seals keep coming out.

What is everyone using and loving?
