@catgirl: we have the zippered version (holds a SugarBooger bento box with room to spare for a juice pouch or small drink bottle)....while we don't have the external wetness issue, I'll warn you that of the four we've owned, we've had a zipper issue on two of them (zippers breaking off the track easily/after very few uses). I love the bags for their cold-keeping abilities, but the quality doesn't seem to be great, at least on the zippers.

I'll second that thr inside is damp but not outside......

I've tossed a bag in my backpack when we go hiking & I can feel the coolness, but never wet

@bhbee: I purchased this one is summer of 2019. DD used it September 2019 - early March 2020, but only three days a week for three hours. And then, covid. I don't remember it being a problem, but it also wasn't in her backpack then and the days were shorter. She used for three separate weeks this summer, days ranging from 4-8 hours and it was a problem every time. Even the days it was stored inside the whole time.

@catgirl: I really hope they didn’t start making them of poorer quality … our watermelon was purchased in 2017 and has been great but I have a newer one we never used thanks to COVID.

@catgirl: ok that’s weird! We literally have the exact same pattern! I would email the company and ask what they think. Seems like something is wrong.

@bhbee: Yes, the outside was wet. And wet enough that everything it was touching in her backpack was wet. We have this one:

Like the outside was wet? I’ve never had that happen. The inside can be a little damp at the end of the day, but mild enough I always just threw it back in the freezer. We have used several years for full day school but it was kept inside in AC most of the time. We have the fold over ones with Velcro.

If you or your LO uses a PackIt lunch box or bag - does it sweat?

DD used hers for camp a few weeks this summer and every day when we got home I would take it out of her backpack and it would be sweating so much that everything was wet! It wasn't a food or drink leaking, it was just the bag sweating as the ice melts. She didn't use it last year for school, and before that was only for half day preschool. So I'm not sure if this is normal for a full day or not...
