@hellobeeboston: N generally has zero fear so the fear of the slide is weird. Hopefully it passes soon.
@Foodnerd81: crossing my fingers that it looks better tomorrow.

@MrsRcCar: not exactly the same, but C has had scrapes that looked like nothing when she fell- like I saw her fall and where she hit and it looked fine, but hours later there would be a big scrape that turned into a big scab. Since I had seen her fall I knew what it was but right after there was nothing.

@MrsRcCar: oh poor guy!! I bet it was the slide. J got a similar scrape on his leg last year from all the sand/pebbles the kids were placing in the play spaces.... Hopefully he will forget it soon and get back on the slide!

@hellobeeboston: The playground is full of pebbles and sticks. We went back today and he refused to go down the big slide. On the way home he tripped fell and skinned his knee.

It looks like a scrape to me too.

Was there dirt/stones on the slide/playground? Totally agree with @FliegepilzHut: clean it, bacitracin, and see how it looks tomorrow!

@FliegepilzHut: I am hoping so. It doesn't seem to be bothering him except when I try to look at it. :silly:

@FliegepilzHut: thanks! Your input makes me feel better. I just have never seen a scrape show up like this, it really threw me for a loop.

I agree, it looks like a scrape/abrasion. If you clean it up really well and apply a little bit of bacitracin ointment, hopefully it will heal up just fine! If it's getting larger/more swollen, tender, or hot, I would definitely see your Ped tomorrow!

Yesterday we went to the park and everything seemed fine upon returning home. However when I returned home from dinner with my grandmother N had the below pictured rash/scrape. I asked my mum what happened while I was gone and she said it developed shortly after we left and asked if anything happened at the park. The only thing I can think of is he got like rug burn coming down the slide, but why did it take so long to appear (at least 45 minutes). It looks like a scrape to all of you right? My grandmother suggested it could be a bite because there is a pronounced center. What do you think?
