@Mrs Hedgehog: I guess the spot has been red off and on over the last week. Not really a rash. We are rash experts here. 😥 generally we only see blood after a bad rash beginning.

No rash or anything? No bruise? I might contact his Ped in the morning. If you can't see any evidence of "trauma" (irritated, bruised or scratches skin) just in case. In the meantime, I had a similar incident with Kaia but it was because of a bad rash. I put ointment on it and covered it with a bandage with the sticky on all sides to avoid urine or ,really, poop getting on it and infecting it.

@sorrycharlie: it just looks like skin breakage. I am puzzled. Everything looked fine at the diaper change before this one. I didn't notice him hit anything. 😥

Whoa. Did he bump it on anything? Puncture, scrape, skin irritation?

E's got a small patch on his bottom that is bleeding more then I have ever seen. 😰 while changing his diaper a little stream of blood worked its way done. It doesn't seem to be bothering him but it wasn't there at the last change. It was quite alarming to see the blood. I put some calmospetic cream on it for barrier.

What would you do?
