@HappyBaker: Could be it! LO gets a terrible rash just before they're about to cut. It goes away almost instantly once they're through the gum.

@josina: @2PeasinaPod: Didn't even think of hydrocortizone cream, thank you guys!

@2PeasinaPod: He's been working on his two year molars for MONTHS, but maybe they are actually almost out now? I'll check tonight.

Any possibility of teeth?

LO2 gets rashes like this pretty often, and we do the same as @josina: and put hydrocortizone cream and aquaphor on twice/day.

Not sure if it's the same, but my DS had a rash on his face most of the winter... we would get it cleared up and then as soon as he spent time outside it'd come back. It was red and dry, DS never complained about it hurting though...

Our ped. 'prescribed' using hydrocortizone cream, and then vaseline on top, twice a day for two weeks.

Also excuse the dirty nose -he was SO mad about the sunscreen I didn't want to wipe his nose and make him even more upset.

Pictures don't really show it very well, but posting on the off chance someone has an idea!

DS has this weird face rash, a couple of days ago it just looked like a couple bumps / scratches and I chalked it up to him hitting himself in the face with a pinwheel he was playing with. Now a few days later it its really red and parts of it are rough and flaky. I've been putting Vanicream on it but he screams and says it hurts / it hasn't been helping at all. (Usually when I put Vanicream on something its like a miracle worker and fixes it in one night!) We have to sunscreen before daycare and I feel AWFUL putting sunscreen on it because I know it stings. :-(

Any ideas of what this is / what else I should be putting on it to get to calm down and go away?
